Dubas has been GM for 1 full year.
- RogerRoeper

So when will Dubas be winning a Cup? Lou has 3 but apparently they don't count.

Other teams have lost to EBUGs...this is such a bloated storyline. Take a deep breath - this was not the most embarrassing event in NHL history by a long shot.
- Deeps27

Yes and it failed to register as a story. Get my point...

I never said it was the most embarrasing moment, just played out like that in the media.

Before Lou does in the cap era that's for sure.

Not convinced Islanders can make the playoffs.

What would Lou know about winning Cups?
- gergeswillems

I dunno he hasn't won one in 17 years.

You may be right about Isles not making the playoffs. Good thing they banked alot of points early.

He's added zero skill and expennsive bottom 6 guys. It's not a formula for long-term success.

It counts but it's changed a GMs job completely. He isn;'t good at managing a cap at all.

they count, but I don't think they're really relevant to who he is today.

17 years is a long time.

Dude was 60.

Same as Dubas.

At least Lou has some playoff series wins. Boronto hasn't won a series in 15 years. Or is it 16 now?

Expect the Canucks to sign giant Russian defenseman Tryamkin as soon as his team is knocked out of the KHL playoffs and he can play in the NHL playoffs, as he is on the Canucks Reserve List. So it will be like the Nucks got Tryamkin and Toffoli at the TD.

To be clear I meant they've been humliiated due to the media coverage worse than any team ever. that's a big part of how you get humilated in sports...

The story is massive. The guy appeared on U.S late night talk shows. When does hockey ever register like that?

You did not understand my point. Others clearly have commented about the media spin on it.

Leafs were horribly humiliated. Not sure how anyone can disagree. They guy has been covered everywhere and appeared on Colbert.

What is a more embarrasing moment for an NHL team. Give me an example and we'll compare.

It's not a big deal. The Leafs aren't losing sleep over it like you seem to be.

Tkachuk vs. Kassiasn. Kassian kick. Ovechkin chasing Gretzky's goal scoring record. Jay Bouwmeester's cardiac event. This is just off the top of my head.

No I don't think it is.

Just clarifying.

the most embarrassing moment in NHL history was probably the Patrik Stefan missed empty net.

that or the time Keith Ballard slashed his own goalie in the head
