CBJ's Josh Anderson (think tom Wilson without being a butthole) , Ryan Murray (top line right shot D man stuck on 2nd paring because of Jones and Werenski) plus a pick or prospect for Nylander. This plugs the defensive hole and lack of grit Toronto has and opens cap space to get their much needed back up goalie. It also fills CBJ's need for a true top line winger. - scraps11b
Murray can't stay healthy. So no |

Ryan Murray isn't a "top line d man" or a right shot.

How long are Reilly and Muzzin expected to be out? - Rinosaur
Muzzin has just been loaned to the Marlies on a conditioning stint, so fingers crossed he is back in the lineup on Monday night. If not, soon after that.
Rielly? That's a good question. The initial reports were "re-evaluated after 8 weeks" - and that was on January 13th. |

Not sure why management is hell bent on trading Anderson, he fits the identity of the cbj and how they are currently playing. |

Any article stating that TO including Ceci in a deal is adding positive value loses all credibility. - Beergu
The deal I heard was Ceci, AJ and Liljegren. Ceci would just be a cap dump |

I am not sure this is fair value for the Flyers. 60 point D-men (even ones who cough the puck up and miss the net a lot now) are close to IMPOSSIBLE to find.
Sami's son is a nice player but not a game-changer.
I would rather see Ghost and a solid but not A-list prospect to WPG to Buff but not sure how to make the $$$ work in the short term.
The Flyers would be SO SO SO SCARY with Big Buff out there even if for two years and he retired. He's not Pronger (nobody is) but he's in the ball park.
WPG would replace a malcontent in Buff with a young D-man with PROVEN high upside on a killer contract AND a prospect.
That looks like a win-win to me. - flyersfaninLA
What? We already have 2! I wouldn't take another one for a 4th rounder, let alone a young top 6 forward |

Buffalo will give you Risto, Unprotected first and a prospect for Willie...... - hehateme
No, no they won't...unless GMTM is back running, error ruining the show |

The Jets would want someone physical and more consistent than Ghost for Buff. - islansjet
I am not sure with their position in the negotiations, Buff's salary, coming off an injury and his age paired with his willingness to just "hang up his skates" that Buff commands more than Ghost and a prospect. WPG still stays very good. Window open to win. |

Ghost has been a health scratch this season and not a player the Jets would want for Buff.

I'm hearing Nylander, Kapanan, Bracco, a 1st and 2nd rounder to Carolina for Brett Pesce! The second first rounder is conditional. If the Leafs reach to Game 5 against the Bruins in the 1st round, the 2nd becomes another 1st. |

I'm a Kings fan and may be drinking a bit of the Kool-Aid, but what would you think about Martinez (good 2nd pairing/great 3rd pairing D), Jack Campbell (a more than adequate back-up/potential future No. 1) and a second for either Nylander or Kapanen and a 4th or 5th. - KingKopitar
NO!!!!
Read the comments man!!!
The Leafs are NOT trading Matthews, Marner, Tavarez, Muzzin, Reilly, Hyman, Nylander, Kapanen or Johansson...wait...or Sandin. There!!!
Now, they will need a Top 4 D-man, a backup goalie and maybe a gritty 3rd line winger....but...you get NONE of these guys!
Ok.....now.....re-do your offer! |
