What an awful goal to lose a game on, for a .833 save %. Dude forgot where his net was. Good thing Hornqvist, the guy that "plays like he has oven mitts on his hands", was there to help the team get a point in the standings. I thought it was pretty foolish to put Jake on the PP1 unit in his stead.
Is Bleuger that much better defensively than Galchenyuk, to warrant him not playing at all in 3v3? Whatever Sullivan doesn't like about the kid's game is just not all that apparent to me. I feel like his usage hasn't been great. |

Galchenyuk had 4 game winners last year. He was filthy in OT last season but hasn’t gotten an opportunity here I don’t think |

There's been nothing to show that he's been good enough to play in OT.

Does he? I think I've seen him get off one solid shot since coming back. |

He has more history than 12 games as a pen. He has a good shot. |

I personally don't give a poop about history. I care about right now and this season he's pretty invisible. |

He’s shown a ton more creativity than Blueger of late. We can bicker all we want, Michael has made up his mind and it’s not likely going to change
Guentzel-Malkin-Rust
Galchenyuk-McCann-Hornqvist
We dominated the shot differential to start the game. Penalties were a factor but at times it looked like we were playing not to lose |

That's just shortsighted. If you have a weapon that you can potentially use, it's okay if someone suggests using it. They opted for Teddy Bleuger, who, last I checked, doesn't have a proven shot or a 30 goal season on his resumé. Don't trade for anyone in the offseason because, evidently, time starts at the beginning of the season. I guess the whole point of a resumé is moot since a player's history is so uninformative. |

And Bleuger has? You're grasping at straws, and I suspect it has something to do with needing to feel like you're always right. It's a new team, he had an injury to open the season on said new team, and I don't think he's had consistent linemates for longer than two games.
All I was saying was that I'm giving Galchenyuk the nod to see if he can get some traction that, perhaps due to the inconsistency surrounding his short tenure on the Pens, improves his confidence. |

Blueger has been better than Galchenyuk and that’s not really debatable. |

This Blueger is the same Blueger I saw weeks ago. He’s constantly deferring and looking to defer. When Galchenyuk gets the puck he looks to create something: space, opportunities. He’s looked really good on the PP but he’s not going to get the quality looks he was getting before without a better center than Blandisi
As many said he was looking pretty good until Bjugstad got hurt, then his center changed and here we are

This game was frustrating as F. We couldn't get out of the box and the refs F us over and over again. I'm glad we at least got a point out of this. Once we scored that goal and went to OT I was satisfied with one point considering what we went through during the course of the game. |
