Sid left the arena with no boot or anything to help him walk. He had a slight limp. - Rinosaur
I guess that's good news, you never know with this team. Guys would finish games then be out a month. |

That was the first game in a while that I wasn’t that happy with. They can’t all be gems I guess. Nice to get that monkey off. - Thorny87
I thought it was one of their worst overall games of the year so far in terms of effort and cohesiveness but even still, it wasn't THAT bad. I don't think it was a bad game by them, I just don't think it was up to par with what we've been seeing. So it's nice to win despite this and knowing they have another level. |

Ryan Wilson: If Olli's play was a state of Maatta it wouldn't be solid

Same tired narrative, simply insert #3 in the article and trash the player. You must have played defense at one time and been criticized to the point you feel it is your DUTY to berate players who have an NHL contract, and career. You call them compliments, sic, I opt you are a complimentary writer treating this blog like the National Enquirer. Good job! |

I don't think people understand the term complimentary player..... player deployment has a ton to do with their perceived "good play".
Maatta was "good" on the 3rd pair with Niskanen.... Jack Johnson is "better" on the 3rd pair with Marino..... they both couldn't hack it up in the lineup unless they are being propped up by a top 10 defenseman like Letang |

Maatta can put up top 4 numbers and stats playing with top 4 guys. JJ can not and will drag down top 4 guys. There's a difference. |
