I've been saying playoffs assuming the team doesn't get destroyed by injuries but the way the Sens have pushed them around these past 2 games, I think it's safe to say that they'll be some injuries early and often. - Nucker101

Put it this way. If Gaudette gets sent down it won't be for long.
Finally a guy who can step in when Sutter or Beagle go down.

So, do you keep Gaudette to prove a point, or send him down so you can keep a player you might lose on waivers because you know you’re going to need the depth very soon?
Also,Tanev skates better than I remember. Maybe Quinn is rubbing off on him. |

Jordie Benn was Bennings best off season acquisition in his entire tenure (drafting excluded). I like Miller too, but the cost knocks him down a peg or ten. |

Brisebois also looked not bad, but man is he lost once the puck is in the offensive zone. A serious hot potato. |

Gauds isn’t replacing 400’ of hockey any time soon. |

Nux should put together a couple pieces for Edmonton and get Puljujarvi onto the team.
Trade JV, Tanev and Biega. Two serviceable d men plus a problem for their problem. |

BTW, McCann plays first line with Sidney Crosby...
Definitely we traded the wrong guy for Guds... |

JV played almost 16 min and had like 3 plus minutes in the ppl... Seems like he didn't have any impact on that game. Can we send him home yet? |

We will find out next week . I think Goldobin Eriksson Leivo Motte Schaller Jake all have played worse than Gaudette. |

Gaudette had the effort last year but no finish. This year he is creating things every shift and finishing the plays. He still has flaws but who doesn't?
The thing is you have to pick a side. Do you actually play your best players that give you a chance of winning or do you select players that no one wants because you fear losing them on waivers?
Easy decision for me. |

It’d be a much easier decision if you knew everyone was healthy for the full season. What if you waive players, they get picked up, then injuries happen a week in and you’re left playing a worse lineup because of it?

In a mixed ideal/realistic world:
Ferland EP BB
Pearson Bo Miller
Sven Gaud JV/Leivo
Sutter Beags JV/Leivo
Motte LE
Not sure who plays which side, but something like that. |

If Gaudette stays you will have 5 centers on the team including Miller so no need to call up player.
If a winger goes down you have two extra on a 14 forward roster and you can still call up a Schaller or Graovac.
I really don't see a problem if Goldobin gets claimed. It should be asset management not waste management. |

Miller and Gauds can both play wing if needed. Miller not so much an issue but if Gauds stays up why can't he play wing with Sutter on 3LC? Assuming that Jake and Goldy are going down of course lol |

|
If some team claims Goldobin he would need to play in their top 6 . Is their a team out there so bad that they need Goldy as a top 6 guy? |

Play Sutter on wing let your young 3C continue on his path |
