What do you think about Canucks new marketing slogan?
“Colourful past. Bright future”
Didn’t think you could do worse than “Change is coming” or “we are all Canucks” but there you have it.
Equally boring and meaningless. |

9 teams over the cap right now Vancouver included. When Vancouver St L Car and SJ get down to 23 players we will be cap compliant, Five teams have to find ways to reach the cap Calgary included. - VANTEL

Doesn't colourful past have negative or implied unlawful connotations? |

Even so, is that the message you want to impress upon your customers? I mean, for the Liberal party it makes perfect sense, but the Canucks... |

I really don't GAF about their marketing, or the 50 year thing. The moves they made during the summer look good on paper. What will sell them tickets is putting an entertaining product on the ice. If they make the playoffs, or fall short that's fine as long as they bring it every game. |

Because he (along with a 1st round pick) is the one that got away in the Luongo trade? |

This was brought up.
Chris Johnston said on Sportsnet 650 on Monday that he expects the Vancouver Canucks to trade forward Jake Virtanen to a team that has a player that could use a change of scenery as well. It’s not likely to happen in the next week or so though. |

Virtanen and a conditional 1st (whichever year the lightning don't get) for D. Hamilton. Maybe Canucks need to add a D prospect/player? |

I think JB is gauging interest, as he should.
Sure, ideally we get a D prospect back with upside.

At this point probably. looks like both players need a change of scenery and it sure appears that Green has zero faith in JV moving forward. I want to see JV succeed here but it may be time to move on. |

Has anyone ever traded for a player with downside?
Not specifically targeted at you, just I dunno why so many people use this term, it's one of those mean-nothing phrases. |
