I actually like Joe Morrow in on the PTO more than I would have liked Claesson given another shot
slight groan seeing Kravstov playing with Haley and Howden right now |

Agreed, but split squads. Unlike many teams, NYR has some good players on all 3. After a couple days it will start to get clearer
Vancouver has an all AHL 3rd squad who gets less time on ice. |

Getting Morrow could be a plan B if ADA holds out it seems. He's not great, but I would trust him out there at this point over Raddysh on a regular basis. |

If you are replying to to Morrow thing, gotta side with Jim here. Claesson plays LD, we really don't have an issue there. RD well that's another issue. |

Marner's agent said two teams presented him with an offer sheet and Barnaby said it was Minnesota and Columbus |

I wish we could have lived in a world where Minnesota got him and gave up all the picks. Not only would they have all the albatross contracts, they could have had no draft picks to get them out of the mess.
I wonder how a franchise can rotate general managers with each successive manager being worse than the previous one. |

Columbus doesn't have 2nd and 3rd round picks so their offer obviously was the 4 first round pick variety
I really don't blame Marner for not wanting to sign with either team |

Yeah, Columbus would have been screwed as well. Makes you wonder if these RFAs are signing because there are no attractive alternatives out there. Anyone who has a reasonable foundation to build around, really couldn't add him to the cap. Also wonder how many of these RFAs were hoping we were not getting Trouba/Panarin as we could at least in theory be a decent option. Much nicer than Minnesota/Columbus at the very least. |

Quotes aren't working... Regarding the offer sheet from Minnesota to Marner, that had to have been Fenton before he was fired. I can't see Guerin doing that. Maybe that was the last straw for Fenton before getting the axe. |

It might have been, but reports made it seem like it was fairly recent. I dunno if the Spurgeon extension is a good start for Guerin either. |

Really?
Didn't think there was any flexibility with your love of Kreider!
Agree though --- he could be a future captain, maybe next season. I think we go another year with just "A" s for now.... |

me too, I think one thing you want to do is give the captaincy to someone who isn't going anywhere anytime soon and he certainly isn't going anywhere |

Here’s another shot from Keane. Have to think his chances of making the team increase each day Tony DeAngelo isn’t here. #NYR |

I really think we have a gem in Keane. I think it would be a big mistake if we let him break camp though. Guy probably needs at least one year in the A. Has talent, but still seems a bit raw to me. |
