I think it's Auston Matthews and William Nylander.
they aren't even the best forward duo on their own f-ing team for Christ sakes |

I can see the argument for Marner and Matthews... I mean, overall when you look at the ski....
...
Oh, Tanner wrote Matthews and Nylander.
heh.. |

@Tanner: Usually I don't find your opinions as biased or as ridiculous as a lot of people on here. But this one is a ridiculous comment by including Nylander, whose highest total yet is 61 points? Come on. He's just not that good. This is just provoking and I took the bait!
Point/Kucherov or Stamkos/Kucherov, whichever.
Barkov/Huberdeau
Bergeron/Marchand
Tavares/Marner are better.
Eichel/Skinner
Matthews/Nylander just above Larkin/Mantha. Only because Matthews is much better at scoring than Larkin.
But Larkin/Mantha are both individually better than Nylander.

Is Tampas duo Point/Kucherov or Stamkos/Kucherov? Either way both are near the top as well.
Edit: I should have read some replies before my response some are very similar. |

Nathan MacKinnon & Mikko Rantanen ???
are far and away better then matthews and nylander
James is a good writer, but he stinks of leaf bias and you cant really blame him for that. He is part of one of the saddest but unfortunately loudest fan bases in hockey. Ontario citizens and the fans of its teams are some of the most fragile people in Canada/sports. I will exclude ottawa from that, people from there are generally decent peeps. |

William Nylander ?
The only and correct answer is Bergeron and Marchand. |

Tanner’s comment is bizarre. bergeron/marchand owned the leafs in the playoffs. did matthews even dress for any of the layoff games ...i certainly did not notice him. and, we all know wee willy sat out the entire season. |

Bobby Ryan and Brady Tkachuk is obvious answer.

Nylander may only have hit 61 points, but he's the only player in NHL history to hit 60 as a rookie, then match it as a sophomore, despite a 50% decline in PP points.
Plus, the guy he is responsible for setting up leads the NHL in goals. So you are free to disagree, but it's a reasonable opinion.
Kucherov is awesome, but Tamps scored a crazy 28% shooting percentage on their power play last year. I also try to factor in future performance, which is why I don't have the same answer as Todd.
Nylander is one of the best possession drivers, and scoring chance creators in the league, and he plays with the best goal scorer. Both are getting better. |
