I don’t even know what my top ten would like like. I’ve seen too many movies. It’d be easier for me to pick directors.

I could probably do a top 10 worst better than top 10.

If we're just going to measure a player's value based on 5v5 goals scorer, how does Jeff Skinner stack up? I can't find his 5v5, just his EVS.

Also, if you want to talk about a player who is truly irreplaceable, he would have to be the best player in the league at his position. Otherwise, there is someone better who could potentially replace him.

Edit: Or has to be a franchise cornerstone (Ovechkin, Crosby, etc.).

Nope. Guentzel is the best.

A top 10 list without The Evil Dead (and/or Evil Dead II) is a top 10 list not worth having.
- jmatchett383

I love Evil Dead but I wouldn’t place it in my top 10. Or even top 25.

My top three are definitely Tarantino, Linklater, and Wes Anderson probably in that order. After that we got a mess of Noland, Coppola, Lynch, and Paul Thomas Anderson. Also soft spot for Leone.

After Midsommar and Hereditary I’ve got Avi Ared on break our watch. I also love Denis Villanueva but he hasn’t been around long enough yet.

Really? Linklater? Only movie from him I’m a huge fan of us Dazed and Confused. The rest I’ve seen are okay. Actually now that I think about it I’d probably throw Kevin Smith into my favorite director pool too. His movies are always a good time.

I thought it was (frank)ing great. I’ll watch any horror movie A24 puts out. Ared and Flanagan are probably the two best guys in the horror game right now aside from Peel even though Ared has only done two movies. Hereditary and Midsommar are that good.

The Before trilogy is a masterpiece but can understand why someone wouldn’t like it. Everybody Wants Some is every bit as good as Dazed. School of Rock kicks ass. Also a big fan of Bernie. What can I say, I like his style.

I’m not huge into Kubrick or Hitchcock but always know that the movies I’m watching of theirs are great, they’re just not really for me. The legendary director I actively hate is Spielberg. Think he’s the most overrated guy of all time.

Spielbergs range of movies is what makes him so good. He makes so many different kinds of movies and doesn’t pigeonhole himself into a style. I do think he has some really great movies just a lot more that are average than great.

Kubrick on the other hand, FMJ, The Shining, and A Clockwork Orange are a few of my favorite movies ever and they’re all so different.

Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, and Before Midnight. It’s hard to explain what they’re about, but they’re basically 100% dialogue between this guy (Ethan Hawke) and this french woman he randomly meets on a train to Vienna.

I tend to knock The Shining a bit because it’s one of my favorite Stephen King books and I think Kubrick lost a lot of the really heavy stuff in Jack Torrence’s relationship with his wife and son and his battle with alcoholism when he translated it to the big screen. Not really his fault because that just happens with book adaptations but it is what it is.

Can’t wait for Flanagan to adapt the sequel Dr. Sleep though. Ewin McGregor is playing Danny Torrance.

Tampa has way too many mid-range forward contracts, and they almost all have NTCs. Going to be interesting how they trim the fat.

Yeah I’m a fan. Totally different vibe from The Shining but it gives good closure to Danny’s story. I have a gang of King books I’d recommend before Dr. Sleep though.

So I don't really use hockey WAR, in part because it seems like everyone has their own formula for what's important, but isn't 0.4 a little low for Phil. I think his impact is over-rated, but just in that article he's even with Tanev and below guys like ZAR, Kahun, even Orpik has 0.9 and that doesn't seem right. If so, I'm ignoring all WAR arguments from now on.
