Just had a random thought, but with all the talk that it’s likely Rust and/or JJ will be moved, my guess is it’s neither. I bet it’s Bjugstad.

I actually tend to like Rust more but I think he'd be easier to replace than Bjugstad, imo. I like McCann best at wing. I think the return would be pretty similiar for either player unless someone really sees Bjug as a 2C. It almost hurts me to say it but all in all I'd rather trade Rust.

I don't know if I'd use those numbers, but that comparable list for Pettersson is one I'd be thrilled to see him fit in.

This team is way deeper at wing. Also I think blaming recent failures on having an average 3c is extremely misguided.

3C’s, even higher end ones, are replaceable. The issue is whether or not the proper replacement is available and if the Pens have the right assets available to make the deal happen.

They could easily replace Rust just with what they have on the roster by making ZAR the 12th forward and letting the prospects battle for 13 since WBS is over-crowded.
