If Kreider resigns you'd have 8 forwards that require protection for expansion draft: CK, MZ, PB, AP, LA, PC, BH, and BL. They'll have to resign Fast, Nieves or an UFA after this year to a 2+ year deal in order to reach the 2 exposed player requirement.
