Losing 4 mill tho no? - Slimtj100
that's true, but I still dont see this happening, Preds gave Subban away to the Devils for nothing because the Devils didn't require Preds to keep any of the money
I think they'd love to get rid of Turris and not have to take Shatty back to do it

Well you never see anything happening Nashville should do that trade instantly |

Quickie's not going anywhere. Not that I think he's irreplaceable, but we have a roster in a state of flux. He's a swiss-army knife that can plug any hole for a short period.
...for only $1.85M.
...and a team favourite. - Tonybere

that's one of the reasons I wouldn't count out DeAngelo as trade bait
I like him, but with the additions of Trouba and Fox it just doesn't seem to make sense to have him at a sizable cap hit unless it's a 1 million deal
we also need about between 1-2 million free during the season to make callups - jimbro83
I wouldn’t be so quick to trade TonyD. He was our best dman on a terrible defensive team and looked like he was finally figuring it out last year. It’s very possible Fox starts in Hartford and I would hate to trade him bc we couldn’t get rid of Shattenkirk. TonyD isn’t the problem, Shattenkirk is, find a way to get rid of the problem, not cover it up for 2 more years and trade a 23 year old that looks like he’s putting it all together. |

They’re getting rid of Turris tho. What does one have to do with the other? They still need a dman. They needed the Subban money for Duchene
And I’m trying to keep Deangelo.
2 years of Shatty is better then 5 of Turris. At least we can actually use Turris is an important spot in the lineup |

not really, you are making them keep 2 million of it
they could buyout Turris themselves, that's a 2 million cap hit every year and they wouldn't have to take back Shattenkirk

Why trade him though? He’s the perfect #2 behind Trouba on the right side. |

Yea but that’s 10 years on the books isn’t it? It’s appealing to them because Shatty only has two years |

it would be a lot more appealing to them if we'd trade for Turris and not make them take Shattenkirk
there is no chance that we are trading Shattenkirk and not keeping some of the money
not a single chance |

Ur robbing Peter to pay Paul. Y take on another albatross contract to get rid of another? You can’t tell me no one is interested in 2 years of Shattenkirk at 3.6 million. |

Santini, Weber, Fabbro, Hamhuis are all probably better than Shatty at this point too

They have like 25 million locked up in center, Turris is basically as unreadable as Shatty is. |

his 10 team NTC just makes it even more difficult
people have always dismissed no trade clauses and we've seen them used twice this summer, Kessel blocked to Minnesota, Kadri blocked to Calgary

Turris doesn't have a NTC though, I think they could trade him and keep the 2 million a year like you suggested and not take back a different crazy contract |

Very possible he put all the division rivals and teams he knows can’t take on the cap hit. |

I really can't come up with a realistic team that I think would want Shatty even at 3.6
