I don't believe I've ever seen a contract structured like that. About what I was expecting overall cap hit wise. Here we go.. |

Well one bad contract replaces another. Atleast Duchene isn't a flopper. |

Ok, i am confused.
Signing bonus up front? So it it not part of the year by year amount, right?
Can't be right, because that would be an insanely expensive contract for him.

Go check out the O Reilly contract. Guessing its structured similar. Think for team it is roughly same amount per year, player just gets bulk of it at start of the year. |

I wouldn't mind some clarification myself. No one else other than Hockeybuzz has even mentioned this signing yet, so 50/50 if it's actually happened yet. |

And as soon as I say that... Eck never mind. At least Poile finally got his man... Had to do something big after trading Subban for a couple of ham sandwiches. |

This is how capfriendly has it broken down so far. They dont have any bonus money yet reported. |

The Cap hit per year is obviously the important number here. At 8 Mil per year, I can deal with that... If he was going to get the 10-10.5 mil per year like some people were reporting, I would've preferred if Poile had passed on him. That's just insane. Just have to wait for full details I guess. |

Hes for sure gonna have bonus money in the first 4 years or so. Which is typical. Bonus money will obviously come from his salary, so basically up front money. |
