If there are 82 games in a season, but Hart shouldn't start more than 40, that leaves at least 42 games where he's not the starter.

So how is he the starter if he's not even playing half of the games?

Why?

He has played 63 and 54 games already for Everett. And he played 49 pro games last season.

If he is the starter you play him like the starter. 55-60 games, just like every other #1 in the league.

Yes understand but still see Hart Elliott pairing as dangerous combination.
Moose was injured 3 times if I remember correctly

I was pretty adamant about Moose not coming back, but whatever. It was slim pickens for goalies.

Don't focus on games played.
I just hope we start the season with a 3rd goalie who at least played backup on NHL level.
Also can't wait to see what will happen to Michael Neuvirth as he is such a weird case

I'll counter with the undrafted free agent duo of Kyle Flanagan and Brandon Alderson.

This all but guarantees Bob to FLA correct?

Apparently the Canucks get nailed with a cap recapture penalty of 3 million for the next three seasons. Panthers off the hook completely.

We do have Alex Lyon as that guy.
And if you don't want to focus on games played, I'd probably not list a hard number.

Looking at Elliot's numbers as a Flyer, they aren't as bad as I thought. I don't know why I had a sub 90 save % and a plus 3 GAA stuck in my head.

This kind of explains it. Because it was a 12 year deal.

we just want to ease him in the NHL schedule
i feel there was a drop off in his play around the 20-30 game mark last year

- 2Real

So wait, you are on board with the he shouldnt play more then 40 games this season?

Remember that game a few years ago, late night in Edmonton Potulny scored the GWG agains the Flyers in the last 30 seconds of the game. Was the least surprising thing ever.

In reading this clownshow today Im beginning to wonder what the point of coming here is.. lol

1. Carter Hart that savior should be wrapped in a bubble and play less than 40 games because at 20 ..he might break a sweat.

2. Brian Elliot at 1 year / 2 million is a disaster waiting to happen.

3. See number 1

4. Also Flyers suck , always have sucked and always will suck because reasons.

Over his time with the Flyers Elliot has the following

2.81 GAA
.908 Save %
69 Games played.
