A fair point... just been an annoying day with work. - opeth_pa
The flyers boards have been infested with clowns this offseason with ssb and plind. Don’t worry they go away once the season starts unless there’s a bad loss |

Over his time with the Flyers Elliot has the following
2.81 GAA
.908 Save %
69 Games played. - opeth_pa
I'll take that for a backup. |

I have faith that sandstrom will be able to impress during camp and if elliot goes down he can be a viable option as backup. - Richieattack18
This is where I am. Sandstrom is the real deal. That injury set him back a season but I think he lights it up in LHV... |

you must have been confusing him with mason - 2Real
Not sure if you were kidding but here are Mason's stats with the Flyers
5 Seasons
221 starts
.918 save %
2.47 GAA
He was really good behind an AWFUL defense. |

Right. Lyon is probably first callup especially early in season, but Sandstrom will impress and hopefully be the guy sooner rather than later.

The goal vs Washington sealed his fate unfortunately, or the entire beginning of that playoff series really. |

Remember that game a few years ago, late night in Edmonton Potulny scored the GWG agains the Flyers in the last 30 seconds of the game. Was the least surprising thing ever. - PLindbergh31

True story. Unfortunate. He really was the best goalie we've had in a long time. |

In reading this clownshow today Im beginning to wonder what the point of coming here is.. lol
1. Carter Hart that savior should be wrapped in a bubble and play less than 40 games because at 20 ..he might break a sweat.
2. Brian Elliot at 1 year / 2 million is a disaster waiting to happen.
3. See number 1
4. Also Flyers suck , always have sucked and always will suck because reasons. - opeth_pa
don't you think our prized goaltender should be protected as to not burn out? |

If there are 82 games in a season, but Hart shouldn't start more than 40, that leaves at least 42 games where he's not the starter.
So how is he the starter if he's not even playing half of the games? - jmatchett383
Hart - 40 GP
Elliott - 39 GP
Lyon - 3 GP
Just a little sarcasm. I would plan to play Hart around 50 games. I think the league is trending away from the 60 games for starter goalies hoping to keep the goalies fresher for the playoffs. |

Looking at Elliot's numbers as a Flyer, they aren't as bad as I thought. I don't know why I had a sub 90 save % and a plus 3 GAA stuck in my head. - Pelle31Forever

He was, and additionally, the way he played vs the rangers when he came back after the injury and got us to game 7, was very admirable. never had a defense in front of him that he could rely upon and really did have some good seasons with us. |

Neuvirth is a whole different level of injury prone that has never been seen before. Moose will be fine for the amount of games he gets asked to play. All of his injuries came from starting him for waaay too many games - Richieattack18
Right now there are a lot of assumptions that the Flyers will be healthier and better. You know what happens when you assume.....
As of now they need a lot to go right to even make the playoffs. And I haven’t even been a Fletcher hater. He’s kinda doing what we asked him to do, try to make the team better without giving away the future. This is what you get. |

I'm hoping the added experience on D will put less stress on the goalies to stand on their heads all the time and hurt themselves less often. |

i wouldn't count on braun to do that
he had many times where his blown coverages left Jones out to dry last season |
