Was refreshing to hear someone not give standard answers.

Suffering is not a standard answer ? we heard it for years now.

I get the sense that Botterill and Krueger both think this is already a pretty good roster, which is worrisome to me

Finally a Coach who never stopped learning. Most adults I know stopped after College.

Ignorance is a choice with all the info available today.

JB hit a home run with RK.

easy now.... Let's see what Jbotts does to improve the roster. You can have Scotty Bowman behind that bench and if they don't have players we will have similar results.

What?

They talked about needing to add grit, elements were missing last year are needed, and about being aggressive this summer.

Nothing says complacency in that to me.

I love him. It doesn't mean anything on June 5 but just the fact that he doesn't seem the type to yammer on about "pucks to the net" and "keeping it simple" will be a small win.

Would be an interesting case study if they changed coaches but had minimal roster turnover.

I think as long as sobotka is back next year the current roster will be a contender with a new coach.

Truly tough decisions. But we can always pivot to talking about SSTT...

I like what I heard watching Kruger's presser, he will be a good leader for this team moving forward.

Jason Pominville was 25 years old in his second NHL season. Sam Reinhart was 21.

The Sabres were also, you know, good, during Pominville's 2nd season. They scored over 300 goals and won the President's trophy.

Not sure if I should post this or not but here goes.

This is not a rumor or anything (we'll leave that to others) but I saw my Chiropractor today. He lives in one of the lofts downtown and told me that Jhonas Enroth moved in recently a few doors down from him. Yes, the Ewok!! He spent last season in the KHL. I don't know if he bought one or is renting but I found it very interesting.

I've been thinking why would Enroth come back to Buffalo. He hasn't played in Buffalo since the 14/15 season. Could he be on Botts radar for a job either here or in Rochester? Just spit balling a bit.

Link to Bryan Oreilly’s off season training regimen. Interesting... with all of this extreme training, why can’t he score 5 on 5?

Ah didn't think of that. Although he did play last year so maybe he wants to keep playing, don't know. I just find it kinda strange that he moved back here, would think he would spend the summer in Sweden.
