he's 18, playing against NHL players, made a good move on the goalie and was hooked on the play and still scored |

Yeah it should be fun to watch! I'm excited to see what they can do, and if they continue the chemistry from the small sample size they had in the exhibition game |

Because it would be a poor use of cap space. I'd rather overpay for 1 big UFA than spend 17mil for 2-3 years on 3 average players. We already have TOO MANY average players. - MartysBetter88

Hughes just had the best shift of any US forward thus far this period. It was also his only shift this period if my eyes don't fool me |

all kane does in international tournaments is get the puck and try to stick handle past every player. he could care less about these games. |

I would love a franchise player sign here as well. Maybe Panarin is interested, but I have my doubts. Otherwise the biggest contracts will be Douchene and Bobrovski, who both do not fill the immediate needs of the team.
This is open cap space, and unless Shero takes on a bad contract or two in exchange for prospects/pics, I don't see the harm in adding good players. And if these guys were "average", as you said, why are they largely at the top of the UFA lists in their respected position?
Why not Eberle? We are desperate for RW's. Noesen is a fringe NHL'er currently playing on our second line. That is an issue. Hopefully Anderson can elevate his game and make a case 2LW, but I have my doubts going into next season.
Mojo gets bad credit due too his injuries. When he is healthy, he is a possession master. The guy never turns the puck over, and has looked fantastic on Boston.
And Gardiner would be a huge help on our LD. 7 seasons of 30+ points with a career high of 52. Greene has 8 more years experience and has only broken 30 points once!!!! Vat's is probably our best D, and he has exceeded 30 points just twice.
If you think we can win with Greene playing 24 minutes a night, and Noesen in our top 6 and PP, you are mistaken. |
