Paul McCann: Feast or Famine

The one thing that gives me hope for this game has been the Preds past ability to play their absolute best when their backs are against the wall. Not sure why they wait until then, but whatever works... Don't know if this current team has that capability, but we'll see... They're definitely gona have to stop passing the puck to the guys in the green jersey's if they have any shot... A part of me almost expects the Preds to barely win tonight, just to troll us into thinking their's a shot, only to lay a giant golden turd in the middle of Bridgestone Wednesday night.

Win or lose, I'd be happy just to see the Preds show some guts tonight... Show some pride and not let Dallas just roll over them like they have the past two games. If your seasons ends tonight at least go down fighting... That shouldn't be too much to ask for.

So how's everyone doing minutes before puck drop. I will say Dallas scores first and then the wheels will fall off for Trashville. UNLESS this team comes in with a huge effort and brings it back for game 7.

A very entertaining 3rd period and OT. As much as the stripes tried to aid in getting a game 7, glad Dallas prevailed. The PP was absolutely awful for Nashville. A very overrated team. STL and DAL will be a fantastic series.

Wonder if Paul has the stones to post anything in the coming days....probably not.

I felt for Pekka he deserves so much better, his team mates let him down..
I feel for the fans b/c the team didn't play for them.

I expect next year to be a rebuild year.

I guess I'll root for Vegas despite their awful introduction with the Russian skater dude in a really lame suit of Armour...

I'll take nearly a decade of outstanding hockey....the downturn is inevitable....especially in a cap restricted environment....I gladly accept the last 2 seasons of mediocrity for 3 Cups! "Glad they are out"? Fair weather fan at it's finest! Had they won tonight...which they could have.....and let's say they win game 7 (home ice....pretty good odds), and they won....would you have come back and said this is the greatest team? Probably!

So now you want a rebuild...what if they miss the playoffs next season...then what do you say? Personally.....I'd start with PK....IMO he's a locker room divider (strictly as an outside observer). He doesn't realize there is no "I" in team. There is a very good nucleus in Nashville...no doubt. Does Lavy go....maybe. As someone else stated here, all coaches have a shelf life...then they get recycled. Looking at Nashville this year in both regular and playoff seasons....there was a lot of resemblances to Chicago's last 2 seasons. Just sayin'....be careful what you wish for....a complete rebuild is not necessary....just tweeking....but what that will look like is anyone's guess.
