What you forgot about Kempny? TT? We needed Kempny this season but Q is a dope. How many other players did we have to jettison because Q didn’t like them? We would be in the playoffs had we kept Kempny.

Q is a horrible judge of talent and you can see this by the trades we made during and after his tenure with the CBH. Q had input during these trades and now that he’s gone we actually acquired players who excelled in Coach C’s system.

I feel sorry for Panther fans. Not only you have deal with the Bolts but now you have to deal with the Q doghouse and his line changes. Your screwed.

I disagree on a couple points.

Starting with Kempny...while I like him and glad he’s found a home in Washington, he would not have been a savior on the blueline for the Hawks this year. Certainly a help, but I don’t know if he (singularly) gets the them into the playoffs as you’ve eluded to. The Hawks had other issues on defense and losing Crawford did not help them either.

In regards to TT...

I don’t think he would have ever made it in Chicago and that’s not a knock on him.

He was doomed from the beginning and it was the front office/media that did it.

They billed him as the second coming of Kane, which is unfair to do to a young player in my opinion. Kane is a legitimate prodigy. TT, although very good, will most likely not have the career that Kane does. The front office and media created so much hype that the fan base bought in and expected him to be, well, another Kane - like they advertised. The standards were so high, I don’t think he ever would have reached them.

The trade to Carolina was probably the best thing for him. He’s been able to go there and focus on his strengths, while learning/expanding new parts to his game, at a slower pace and in an evironment where he’s not under a constant microscope, like he was in Chicago. I think the trade was the best thing for him and props for his ability to seize the opportunity.

At the end of the day, no one is going to be flawless when assessing talent/players. But to dismiss Q as some kind of jabroni coach seems odd to me.

I think towards the end, Bowman had a vision of where he wanted the team to move (more along Colliton’s system) and Q had his ideas. It was probably just time to get moving st that point—though I don’t agree with how it went down.

Anyways, I’m excited to see what Q can bring to this club. We’ll just have to wait and see how things pan out.
