Def, man.
It should be cool to see this play out. I’d imagine it’ll boost attendance, too. |

There will be no questions next year if the Panthers fail "is it on the coach?" This is really good for them. |

With Q, $17MM in cap space, and Dale and Q likely on the same page this bodes well for you guys.
Congrats, and good luck next year. |

I'm sure Cuban cigars factored into this deal somehow. It will be refreshing to see Q's death stare again when somebody screws up and his ever present onslaught of f-bombs on the bench...yes, I'm really excited; good for hockey and even better for the Panthers. Great move and I've got another team to root for [ ] |

Hey RotR—
That’s what has me pumped. The cap space and fact that Tallon and Q are on the same page player-wise.
Also, always enjoy your insight on the Hawks page. Good stuff.

Rats-
The “You betcha!” line is so good and captures Q perfectly.
Def going to be the slogan for future blogs. Haha. |

Its happening. The stars are aligning.
The talented core is hungry and eager.
This is a complete 180 from the Panthers under Boughner and Rowe.
I'm sure Q did his homework and knows the team we have. There are so many similarities with Q's early Hawks teams.
It will be a huge success just to get the Panthers established and get the winning culture implemented that we so desperately need. But I think we're entering the age of something special in South Florida. |

Agree with you, Jimbo.
I can almost guarantee that Q already knows this team and what he wants to do, who he wants to bring in, etc.
Exciting stuff. Can’t wait. |

Hey Matt,
Really happy for you guys and Q...already a great offseason for the Panthers - Panarin and the Bob next? Should be an interesting next few months for the Cats.

I'm real curious on what he suggests happens on the blueline and in goal. |

Hey, DK...totally agree.
It’s going to be fun/interesting to see what happens.
Don’t be a stranger around the Panther blog. I used to chat with you guys a lot on the Hawks blog back when JJ was running the show and when Justin took over, too. I had a different username then. Alot of great hockey chats over the years 👍 |

The ‘Q won’t play young guys’ is BS. He had 19 year old Jokiharju playing 1st pair minutes with Keith this season. DeBrincat made the team without a stop in the AHL. Same with Saad.
What he doesn’t like is young guys that don’t play a 200 foot game. That will get you a seat in the press box.
Congratulations, great hire! |

He is going to love the young Jayce Howryluk. 23 year old great two way player that has tremendous upside.
Hope he also resigns Brouwer who he had in Chicago in the early years. A guy like Mike Matheson might be wearing a different color jersey next season. Doesnt seem like a Q kind of defenseman. |

Good luck to the Panthers. Q doesn't mess around. You're very fortunate to have landed him. |

No doubt.
I was saying yesterday in the other blog that he’ll love Howryluk because he has a similar gritty/agitating game to Shaw and Q loved him some #65. |

What you forgot about Kempny? TT? We needed Kempny this season but Q is a dope. How many other players did we have to jettison because Q didn’t like them? We would be in the playoffs had we kept Kempny.
Q is a horrible judge of talent and you can see this by the trades we made during and after his tenure with the CBH. Q had input during these trades and now that he’s gone we actually acquired players who excelled in Coach C’s system.
I feel sorry for Panther fans. Not only you have deal with the Bolts but now you have to deal with the Q doghouse and his line changes. Your screwed. |
