whole team is on a cold streak, no better time than right now to turn it around and get this playoff scenario that much more situated for everyone |

Hopefully the team is thoroughly shamed, and atones for its abysmal performance against the Bruins. - Wildschwein
Bailey and Eberle especially need to wake up. You cannot float during the playoffs. |

Eberle needs to stop trying to score from an impossible angle into the goalies crest. I swear that’s all he's got lately😂
Bailey there’s no words for the guy lately he has been terrible but with that said this is a team wide thing. These guys have to snap out of it nows the time. |

We have been saying this since the all star break. I think this is what the team was and they overachieved but that said they have a great opportunity once they get in |

True the team is struggling as a whole but Bailey and Eberle are really counted on to provide offense and be top 6 players. |

Every team gets its doors blown off once in a while. If they bounce back tonight, then that Boston game means very little outside of the points they didn't get. Recent Isles teams would go into a tailspin for a week or more after a game like that, so it'll be interesting to see what this group is really made of. |

I really don't hold it against Lou for standing pat at the deadline, but the consequences of that are showing now. They couldn't score on an AHL team |

Problem is we know they’re capable of playing better than they are. We’ve seen it. The effort just isn’t there and you see that now. The team as a whole gives up on plays and more often than not there’s no second effort. Sure teams took notice and are countering while also playing at a different level. The thing is when you don’t see the effort I don’t think it’s as simple them over achieving earlier in the season and showing there true colors now.
If they were out there not giving up on plays and hustling but losing I would agree with that thought process but we’re not seeing that. These guys stopped working imo. |

That's a but harsh and it was reported he went hard after guys but it was either too much or in stones case the knights gave up a bigger prospect. I fully expect him to be super aggressive in f.a and maybe a trade |

I know he did, but he ultimately decided not to spend what OTT was asking for Duchene/Stone. I can live with that. But this is the result.
I still think a package centered around Beauvillier and a 1st would have been way better than the collection of crap that he got from CBJ. |

Man for a locked up stone I would have parted with more I'm sure Dobson was the ask and he projects as a top pair guy. Tough call |

Yeah I don’t blame him either. I wouldn’t have have had a problem if we traded Dobson and a first for Stone in all honesty I think that could’ve been a good trade for us. That’s if it were even there to begin with but I’m completely fine that we didn’t. I just hate to see the same retreads being thrust into roles that they’re more than likely unable to handle. It’s time to try something different imo. |

I may eat these words and I would do so happily if Dobson develops into a top pair but I would’ve done it. |

Trotz eluded to that not long ago. He was talking about the all star break followed by the break from practices connected to the cba. He said something along the lines of sometimes long breaks aren’t good and tough to come back from. |

Would've been real tough to do that, but yeah I don't think I could argue with that ask so long as he was signed |

I believe jt walking somewhat handcuffed him. Had to scramble to fill spots and I think the original plan was to wait till the year was over to go hard at guys. When they played better than expected he was presented a choice and chose not to overpay as stone wasn't getting us a cup alone and our prospect depth in forward is thin bellows and wahlstrom aside. Koivila (sp?) has been a nice surprise but hes not ready either so I think he made the correct choice but who knows if they will be able to replicate this success next year |

I'm not even super confident about Bellows and Wahlstrom. Bellows had, honestly, a pretty bad first pro year. Wahlstrom, for all his goal-scoring hype, managed to muster up a whopping 7 goals in 35gp with BC.
Wahlstrom, like Wilde, is AHL-eligible next season. I imagine he stays at BC but he's already filled out his frame and they might just get him out of there and try and handle his development in-house. |

I’m not saying Stone would’ve gotten us a cup what I’m saying is getting a signed Stone would’ve been extremely beneficial to this teams future. We’re pretty weak on the right side. He’s a player that would fit Trotz’s system to a tee while of course making us more competitive now imo. As I said before I’m not upset we didn’t get him I’m fine keeping Dobson BUT I definitely wouldn’t have been negative on the idea if we had a legit shot to get him to begin with. |

Large part of the reason I wouldn’t have been upset if we got Stone😂
Hoping bellows has a better 2nd year along with wahlstrom if he goes to the ahl. |
