I agree unless he really has lost the room there.
And Keefe clearly is Dubas guy and has worked with so many of the young guys there.
I would be very curious how this team plays with a different coach and system in place there. - Roadrunner75
For all we know, Babs and Dubas might already be in a disagreement. Picking up Nic Petan doesn't appear to be a "Babcock" move |

If Keefe is coaching while Babcock isn't this year, I think he coaches the Leafs next year. - TheMussel
I’d be happy if Dubas fires Babs.
Not gonna lie. I’m sick of his poop. |

Babs doesn't get to pick the players, Dubas and Shannahan do. |

everything is ALWAYS apocalyptic where the Leafs are concerned.
"Leafs have no organizational depth at center"...
follow-up with a blurb about Joshua, who happens to be center and just finished his NCAA career....
hmmmm.... maybe they sign guy to an entry level deal? ( I know too simple)...

If Babs takes them to a round 2 game 7 or better, I think he stays. - TheMussel
Babs is here next year no matter what.
Unless the leafs dont make the playoffs this year
Which is unlikely |

I understand that and I agree Babcock shouldn't get to pick the players on the roster, point is Dubas trading a guy (Lindholm) that Babcock used a lot on the PK for a guy that is barely 5'9 and in the minors at that time, doesn't seem like a move Babcock would like. |

Babcock was probably asked to make a list of expendable players, and Lindholm would have been on that list. |

You assume.
I don’t see how he couldn’t, follow the chain of command. |

Ohhh fuuuukoff
Babcock is coach, that’s it. No one is submitting lists to anyone. I’m sure they consult with him, but he has ZERO leverage beyond ice level operations. |

That's a board level decision, which would be executed by the President. |

I’m sure everyone would be involved. What I’m saying is, if Babs crosses a line with Dubas like not playing the players he wants playing, and if Dubas feels Babcock isn’t respecting his wishes, then Babs gets fired. |

We've taken for granted having excellent goaltending for 3 years now. When Ander5en struggles, or when Sparks plays, we're not nearly as good of a team. |

My uncle is a firefighter in TO. Two days ago he responded to a call to a bad smell at an apt building. They occupant wouldn’t let him in so he called the cops. When he went in he discovered a corpse on the couch lol.. he said it was mummified. Reminds me of that picture a little |

Leafs allow too many shots on Freddy. Gotta start winning low scoring games instead of gunning all game. |

Sounds like kapanen might be good to go now. Had to wait the nhl concussion protocol but Babcock said he could’ve played 2 games ago. |
