i havent really looked, but how realistic is it for the Leafs to drop down far enough to not play the Bruins?

The Leafs could win none of their remaining games, and still wind up sitting at 3rd in the Atlantic. Montreal would need a .550 record over the remaining 10 games (5-4-1) to pass us, and they're 4-6-0 in their last 10.
However, if they do catch us, there's a chance the Leafs miss the playoffs altogether. |

Too far to be reasonable, even if they play Sparks every game
On another note, looks like the Habs really pooped the bed to miss the playoffs. 3 points back with no games in hand looks like a done deal. |

the mass panic and hot takes would be fun, but thats too close for comfort
Babs better have a really (frank)ing good game plan for the Broons...if they go out with a whimper, well thats not good enough

Why? I would love to play the Bruins again and beat them. It would be dispelling another curse, of which the Leafs have many. |

Well of course beating them would be (frank)ing delicous
I am not sure I can handle the aftermath if they lose, this past week has been something to watch..thats enough for me

Petan plays and replaces Goat. Give him a good chance at getting going and see what he can do. He has shown a little in minimal chances so far.
Honestly just getting our guys all healthy is the improvment we need. Get Kap back, Goat back as he was playing well and 4th line has been consistent and showing up. Rosen gets back as does Dermott and the D gets a whole lot better right there.
As much as I would prefer Hutch over Sparks I think we are riding it out as is barring injury for this year.
A lot of doom and gloom but really if we can just get everyone healthy right now and avoid injuries over the last 10 games we should be fine. |

It is more likely that the Leafs finish 9th than 8th in the conference. If the Leafs win 2 more games we are 90% likely to be third in the division. |

If Keefe is coaching while Babcock isn't this year, I think he coaches the Leafs next year. |

I don't think he deletes his tweets, just ignores it when people call him on his stupidity and blocks the people who keep doing so. |

Kapanen is skating again which is a good sign.. Hopefully, everyone comes back healthy before the playoffs and we don't lose another defensive zone faceoff ever again

I am really wondering if Keefe is not coming soon here, I think there is some real issues with Babs and Dubas and not sure there isnt some between Babs and the players. |

Keefe is Dubas' guy, right?
I wouldn't be surprised if after next year Keefe is named the new head coach. (Unless, the Leafs win the Cup this year or next.. ) |

If Babs takes them to a round 2 game 7 or better, I think he stays. |

I agree unless he really has lost the room there.
And Keefe clearly is Dubas guy and has worked with so many of the young guys there.
I would be very curious how this team plays with a different coach and system in place there. |

Mike Augello: Leafs have few avenues to improve before playoffs, Gauthier injured - mikeinbuffalo
i’m getting a good lolz suddenly reading comments and opinions apeing the ones that i’ve maintained since greedy willy started his holdout 🤦♂️
this team isn’t built for any measure of playoff success and dubass the meterosexual, non nhl veteran should have traded both of those creampuffs for real men who play a heavy game and aren’t pusi whooped🤦♂️
what a (frank)ing joke 🤦♂️
edit: nice alliteration 👍 |

They use the same system. Babs has worked with all the good young players too., plus AM, MM, Rielly .. |
