4 defenseman and an important winger out, yet, still a fairly dominating performance vs a team that still has playoff hopes in their barn. Keep your heads up boys. |

It was a terrible call. No way that was onside. He fully crossed the line with barely any control at all. |

I was under the impression that if you deked on the blue line it was offsides.
But league wide Pittsburgh favoritism, amirite? |

Offsides isn't a thing in hockey. It's called offside. |

Got me.
This is on par with the "scoreless isn't a real term" kink that Dreger has. |

Well to be fair it wasn't offside. He clearly had control bringing it in. If crosby had deked in like that and scored, we would be arguing it was onside. |

I honestly don't think I would. I always thought that if you deked on the blue line and the skates beat the puck it was offside. |

Nope
If you are considered to be "In Control" of the puck, YOUR skates can cross first before the puck, a teammates skates however, cannot

Yeah I agree with this as well. I think the problem with the footage they showed tonight was that when you slow it down so much that it takes 5 seconds to cross the blue line, of course it looks like he doesn't have control. But watching in real time it's clear the move that was going on was fine. |

Definitely would have been better off keeping him and hunwick at this point considering the pens most recent roster additions |

oh well, a point the pens will gladly take - so far so good in this post-injury stretch. ullmark played gud. unfortunately for the competish, a 3 pt game was not the ideal situation.
