Works for me as long as that is contingent on re-signing with the Flyers. Otherwise overpay Stone in the offseason, which the Flyers are one of the few that can right now while keeping those assets. - Glak18
I agree. I'd want a contract extension worked out with him before he's traded.

What does DET have to do with PHI offering a past his prime player a 7m deal for 5 years?
Nothing.
Its a bad deal. Thats the facts. - Feds91Stammer
Please explain how it is a bad deal with his current level of production |

Stone to Winnipeg for a first and two of,
Lemieux
Appleton
Petan
Stanley
Not the greatest offer but not the worst, Jets can always add a middle round pick or two.
Send him home!! - Ross77
THAT OFFER WILL BE RIGHT IN LINE WITH WHAT THE SENS GET AND WPG HAS THE CAP SPACE TO MAKE THIS WORK.
DONT THE JETS NEED A CENTER MORE THAN A RW? |

Package is likely easily outbid by other teams and why do you want Ceci? - Feds91Stammer b/c he's right shot 2nd pairing / top 4 Dman that logs a lot of mins |

ONLY 1 PROBLEM WITH THIS PROPOSAL.
IF MELNYK COULD AFFORD TO PAY TROUBA NEXT YEAR HE WOULD JUST KEEP STONE AND PAY HIM! |

Jets lines look like:
Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler
Ehlers-Duchene-Stone
Laine-Lowry-Tanev
Lemieux-Little-Appleton

Rich? Isles have been in playoffs eight times since 94 eliminated 7 times in the first round! Now that’s RICH! - Bobd62
The Rangers have four Stanley Cups since 1927. That's about one every 23 years.
The Islanders have four Stanley Cups since 1972. That's about one every 11 years.
And if you want to just talk about recent history, the Rangers have the goalie equivalent of Dan Marino in Henrik Lundqvist. One of the all-time greats at his position, who after retirement (unless he gets traded), will have zero championships and a single appearance in the finals. So yeah, all those laughing emojis you seem to enjoy using are actually laughing at you, not with you. |

Now that's a WIN ALL this year. Obviously there is no way you would be able to re-sign both Stone and Duchene without trading one or two BIG salaries (or trading Laine or Connor). |

I know, Ottawa won't be accepting anyone with a big salary.

don't bother.. he is angry b/c the Isles are in first place, their building is 10X louder than that corporate Library has ever been and his team just stinks. |

Yeah, just thought I'd educate him a little about his own team but I'm over it. Let's go Islanders!!! |

A centre would be ideal. Having a home-grown defensively responsible winger would be great! Stone has also shown he can generate his own offense and make players around him better. He may be able to get best out of Lowry or Little. |
