But seriously, imagine thinking the Senators aren't tanking when they might trade away 2 out of their 3 best players.

To piggyback on Jimbo's post above....I'm not sure you can consider it tanking when they don't get there 1st round pick no matter how high it is

Yeah I know, they are tanking now. But it's gonna set them back years because they made a win now move and it backfired in their face.

Poor Thomas Chabot is going to rot until he's a UFA and has some leverage.

Per an NHL source this morning, #NHLBruins have inquired again on #CBJ F Artemi Panarin and once again B's F Jake DeBrusk, top prospect, preferably with some NHL games under his belt, and a first round pick is starting point. #BellLetsTalk

Knowing Murphy is kind of dolt, but he has credentials.

I have seen it a few times that Don Sweeney was sick to himself at the draft last year not having a first rounder that he gave for Nash and swore not to do it again

You're probably right. But I don't think the proposed deal of a 1st and a young NHL player as a starting point is an outlandish ask.

I don't see the Bruins as legit cup contenders this year...just seems like a waste of assets for a soon to be UFA

What can they get for Claesson? Nobody really brings him up when talking about potential trades

I love the sheep clapping. Seriously if you can clap for that you should (frank)ing abort yourself from the planet instantly

The question is aside from maybe Hughes, is there anyone with a higher ceiling or the same that Panarin has now? If not, make the trade if you can sign him long term.

there's really no reason to deal him, he's a cheap RFA with no trade value who can play once they deal vets

doesn't really pay to give him away

he could be a throw in to a bigger deal, that's possible

I don't think any of those guys, outside of Kakko, have the potential to be as good as Panarin
