From last blog:
Is Panarin really worth the moon? I know he's dynamic, but he's not as much of a pure goal scorer as his contract will likely dictate. He'll be 28 next season. Has never scored more than 31 goals, but does have a nice points history.
I genuinely haven't watched him play a ton, so apologies if this is a silly question. |

I think he's worth the moon to us if we can get him for free. We have a young Russian phenom joining the team next year, if he had a guy like Panarin to pair with him, mentor him, would be fantastic |

Probably help Chytil out, too. Seems like Panarin can really dish the puck well. |

If the Rangers can sign him as a UFA it would be huge, Panarin can score, but that is not what makes him special.
I am assuming you are referring to Kravtsov, who was my steal of the draft, and pairing him with Panarin could be electric....if Kravtsov can be that scorer many thinks he can. |

He's scored 30+ in two out of his three seasons and is on pace for 33 this year. He's not Ovechkin or Laine, but he's not putting up 8 goal seasons either. |

Stay the course. Trade pending UFAs, lose to NJ tomorrow. The vision is as clear as ever.
As for Panarin. He's not coming here via trade or free agency. - tomburton99

I could see him signing here, there’s no way they trade for him though. That could be some first line next year, Panarin Chytil Kravtsov |

Ive come to realize most of you dont post many in depth plans
more like the pipe dream deals i mentioned all would do in a heart beat or no brainer
BUt when a clear thought out plan is just tossed with out a revision or option
I tend to discount more of the opine....
I cant say i see others outlines as clearly as mine But mine is not succinct in facts
its conjecture on the potential growth of team back to prominence
thats what is missing what all thinks a time frame is & how to start the fix after we
do the easy part ..sell off & stock pile ,gotta show results with this action from last Feb to this FEb ...
Burton , How is it Panirin aint coming here ? if we sell Pionk & Buchny we will
whats your plan to rebuild , i dont know or have seen it ,please outline it in sum fashion for us , same for any , where does the build start ,with what level talent , do we need grade A talemt , questons u all might like to answer clearer than what
is stated ,cause i read the threads too , where is the clarity a G M might need or want to use |

I just don't think he's gonna want to go from a decent team in small market to a bad team in a big market. I he's made it know he wants California, NY or Florida. Eliminate the Ducks, Sharks, Kings and Bolts. Rangers won't be in position of power, because they stink right now. So that leaves the Panthers and Islanders. Those are the two spots where I think he'll consider. |

CBJ obviously has to try to get something for Panarin before he leaves, Buch and Pionk aren't going to wow them. I get that you want to get him here for a taste of the Big Apple, I don't see him signing with a team that is in the basement. This year hasn't exactly been an upward trend. Now, if he was a FA next season and NYR was closer to the Wild Card spot that might happen. We could be 3 years away from competing, and Panarin could be the extra piece that helps a contender now. |

Dundee, this is my plan right here.
http://www.tankathon.com/nhl
See if yoou can make like the Leafs and/or Jets. Be bad for a handfull of years. Get he high picks, and get the elite talent. Talent being cost controlled for 3 or 4 years. |

Yeah, the loony Australian guy. - tomburton99
Oh yeah wanna hear a doozy from a Flyer fan...he was serious too.
I've seen some delusional things in my life, but wow.
So what are the chances of a Gostisbehere trade? I don't necessarily want to see him moved, but he might be able to get you such a huge return.... I'm thinking if Muzzin can get a 1st and a few picks Ghost can get you at least 2 firsts, an awesome young roster player, and maybe a few prospects. I would look at Edmonton. 2 firsts, Puljujarvi, and Nugent-Hopkins. - youarewrong
Seriously 2 1sts, a high drafted prospect and RNH...no joke. |

The same Australian guy thinks that RNH will finally figure it out in year 9 and be a true 1 center. So that is what we're dealing with. |
