WD caught my interest again this past season with the time hop, but is losing it quite quickly again. I am excited for the full length movies about where Rick went to that is supposed to start coming out after this season. Rick Grimes made the show, now that he is not on it, it will probably fade... - ToewsdNKanefusd
I didn't know about that. The movies sound interesting.
Herschel dying was a test of faith for me. I won't lie. I know the actor died in real life too. It just fell out of my interest, I'm really far behind. I didn't see Neegan through, or the season before him. |

The show lost a lot of steam after the first few seasons. They are trying to freshen it up now and get people interested again. I think the latest is some of the zombies starting to communicate and talk. |

This right here outlines why the Hawks won't make the playoffs. The red is where they give up more than league average shots at 5v5. That big red area all around the net is a problem. We can't defend this area well and it results in the goalies giving up goals. - breadbag
Science, got it! Haha.
I know we give up tons of high danger shots, I yell at my TV every game. Stick swiping has got to go, knock the man on his ass and take the puck. Edzo used to call for it a lot, well, he used to. |

I like the charts this site makes and I look at a lot of the shot heat maps each game and the trend is that we still play the perimeter too much and the opposing team gets way too many chances right in the prime spot in front of our goal. The goalies we have aren't allstars, but our team just has to do better. Either spend less time in our end or learn to stop breaking down and leaving the middle unguarded. I know it is easy for us fans to say and much harder for the team to actually do it, but I agree with you. We won't go anywhere until the defensive play improves. If we could shutdown other teams, we could force them to make mistakes and make them pay on the counter attack. |

It used to be an area of concern, but last night it reared it's ugly head again, breakaways. Off of our pp, or just our guys couldn't defend or catch. We paid the price a lot last night.
Yeah, defensive defecencies and the goalie situation. Needs to be looked over during the summer more than anything else, imo. |

The Hawks haven't been the same since Hossa left. Yes, he did bring out the best in Saad and Toews. Its been said before, but those two owe Hoss part of their big salaries. - boilermaker100
Toews is scoring at as high a rate as he has in his career and Hossa made 9 million per season for many years, so try again. |

One of the very best in holding up his man. Elated to hear you mention his name. Talk about being crushed to death by hips/buttocks. Wingers did not immediately jump back into play looking for a tip or deflection. Checking for body parts, as it should be. Someone else who remembers. So very cool. |

think about if Ott did not trade Karlson and they were selling 4 UFA's in Dzingel, Stone, Duchene and Karlson. They have basically the best UFA Frowards outside of PAN out there. the Def free agent class is pretty weak. I know Stone is a good Def. Not sure about the other 2. would you give Stone 7 years $8MIL would be done at 33. Duch is probably 7 X 7.5. and Dzingel 5-6 years at 5 mil. |

He passed away suddenly a while back not long after he was at the UC signing autographs for a game during the intermissions. It was pretty sad to hear that after it happened. |

I know they said it in the broadcast, but NJ has some speed and that was on display for sure. They'd chip it by our guys and just win the race. |

Nobody is defending Quenville you idiot, everyone is sick of your constant whining about him. You're comments are moronic. Back to the retirement community for you! - GPHawksfan
Not cool, GP. There's no reason for personal attacks, either one at Duffy or Boilermaker. It's crap like this that brings this place down, and keeps lurkers as lurkers. That was the case for me, at least. Argue like an adult, we are all adults here, but leave out the name calling. Avoiding/ ignoring or reading over isn't the issue, nothing should have to be looked over. New year, same board. |

Feel bad hearing it. Bill White last year also. The White-Stapleton tandem generally did their job. Always fun to watch.

I know I probably come across as an apologist, but we have to remember, this team is turning over quite a bit. Look at how many new faces are on the team, including the coach. It took years for the 2010 team to come together, starting with Keith. I'm not saying this team is going to win any Stanley Cups, but you have at least one new player on each line from the last two years. Strome, Caggiula, Perlini, Kahun, Cat, Kampf, Kunitz, Martinsen...
And on D, you have new guys in Murphy, Joki, Dahlstrom, Davidson (when up), Koekkoek...
And finally Delia in net.
I know a lot of these guys played with Colliton and with each other, but the NHL is a different animal. It's not an excuse, there are still holes and there are pieces that don't fit, which have been discussed ad nauseum, but the young guys need some time to find their place and gel with each other as well as the veterans. They are NOT good this year, but there are pieces to build around and with more trades like the ones for Strome and Caggiula and another high draft pick...my hope is the turnaround will be quicker. |

first 5 season good but got redundant stop watching it same story every season will they just end it and say rick is the cure already. Onto hockey its been clear for sometime that the hawks are going to be sellers at the TDL so who goes and do the hawks trade not only saad but keith to? Management need to come to the conclusion this is a rebuild not a retool on the fly. The sooner they realize that the better off the hawks will be in the long run and big picture overall. |

I'm right there with you man. You can see that there are pieces on this team worth keeping and building around that could lead to this being a Playoff team once again hopefully sooner rather than later |

Redundant, sums it up perfectly.
Idk about who goes. Bowman has been making good moves, maybe he stays on a roll. |

My man!👍. Josh Manson! Bob Murray everybody for sale mode. You’re a long time fan like me ,I love the way daddy played in the 80s, and Josh can play in today’s game and still play just like daddy did.Exactly what the Hawksneed on the blue line. Him and Connor Murphy would be awesome to have. Maybe not together but in the top six. - wonthecup10
Both getting older than dust, if we remember Daddy. Ha! Glad to hear from you. Both men (Josh and Murphy) know how to throw a smothering check that doesn't allow opponents to automatically rejoin the play, which is the intent. Probably would have to give up quite a bit to get Josh. But, as you implied, comes from a quality bloodline.

Unfortunately his type of hip checks are illegal nowadays, it's now considered clipping. I loved watching him crunch guys up against the boards. My dad used to have season tickets right below the press box and the Blackhawk Standbys banner in the mezzanine in the old stadium
