I'm not holding my breath on Koekkoek, even less that he doesn't have a defensive first mindset. Maybe try him on the 2nd pp unit over 2 and 7. Play anyone over 2 and 7 ... please.

I'm in the same boat, root for wins and let the lottery balls fall where they will. A top 5 forward would be nice, but "I've got all the time in the world"- Burgess Meredith (Twilight Zone).

I definitely want to see a lot of Rockford kids playing. The defense is what I'm more excited about.

I see that Manning did not dress for the Oiler's last game again. Did they ever get burned in that deal!

Gotta run Kunitz out there to show he can still play before they inevitably trade him. Even if he plays every other game, whoever he might be blocking from the A would be better off with top mins there than 4th line fodder mins i.e Sikura

For sure...but like suggested at worst, they move a 7th for likely a low 5th. If SK works out great. Either way, more kicks at the can.

What happened to Gibson being their saving grace?

Only problem with that is Kunitz is proving how bad he is every time we put out there making him even less tradeable.

I think he said that Keith is his defenseman hero/idol and wants to play with him. I could have my players mixed up. If I'm right, he's not going the f.a. route, but it doesn't guarantee an immediate signing either.

they can't score and when they do they give up 4 or more; and like the hawks lose in OT; 4 strt now

which is fine with me; never liked that team and perry, getzlaf and kesler are on the wrong side of 30 with big contracts and declining production = hooray for them

VEsey was a Preds draft pick - we lost nothing in that deal.
