Christ.

Pens should definitely be looking into Ferland or someone on that level at this point.

quack quack. ducks up next.

https://triblive.com/spor...ade-for-marcus-pettersson

his shot totals have definitely skyrocketed but doesn't seem he's found his place yet. Reminds me a bit of the sutter situation, where even though he sucked in a lot of facets, his goal totals were a bit of a saving grace. being on pace for 27 - even despite stretches of going quiet - still is quite the production rate.

Interesting point of view. I also see the forwards more aggressively back checking and trying up sticks.

I don’t understand the Jay Beagle iPhone 1 reference. Are people really big enough douches to make fun of someone’s phone, Or is there some kind of fancy stats joke behind this?

I’m more so just impressed an iPhone 1 is still functioning. I was under the impression that Apple made their phones so they’d malfunction within 2.5 years to force their costumers into buying a new phone.

Millionaires can buy anything they want. I had three consecutive iPhone 5s. My last one got completely submerged in water 3 times once for like 10 seconds and dried out and worked every time. I went to get another one and they stopped selling them.

They slow down after 2 years or so. But with one that old I am shocked it is even supported. It might only be for texts and calls at this point.

I think Wilson’s childish rant about the penguins “ letting ZAR play hockey” is a little stupid. Both the penguins success and his personal success have come at the same time as he and the forth line playing more physical, and being physically noticeable in the games. Fighting is a part of hockey, it has literally existed since the very first nhl hockey game. poophappens. Hopefully he comes back the sane willing player.

How can he look up Corsi though? Desk top? If it wasn’t for fishing and telling you stats brained zombies what’s really going on in hockey I would love a flip phone. Gotta get those fish pics in HD though and I’d miss you guys too much.

These stats you severely hate on are totally derived from the sport (I assume) you love. How can you not find them a bit interesting or at least be at a level of them not effecting you negatively? hahah

I know that theres so much more to hockey, shift to shift, game to game and season to season than these numbers could ever tell...but they can still tell a lot man.

That's worrying. That looked like a stitch job not a concussion.

I've said it before about concussions though, that a head ache is a concussion symptom. If Horny has a headache at all they're not going to let him play at all even if its not a concussion. Crosby missed a f-load of time with what was thought to be concussion and concussion symptoms (headaches, light headed, etc) and it turned out to be a neck issue and not a concussion at all. Puck in the jaw certainly has the potential to cause a concussion...it also has the potential to cause a non concussion related headache.

Please dear God don’t let Hornqvist go the Bickel rout.

Yeah I think the oldest models that are still supported are 6’s at this point which makes me wonder why you’d want an iPhone 1 in the first place. It can’t do any of the smart phone stuff anymore so why not just get a flip phone which are way more durable.

EDIT: quoted your wrong comment

TIOPS had article connecting PIT to him. But I guess it's more likely just the cycle of rumors (Friedman mentions someone may be available or loosely throws out what teams are a good fit, then the bloggers and "insiders", say they hear from their sources about a connection)

Ferland would be a really good fit, imo. We just have to look at him as a rental...we shouldnt pay his next contract.

Definitely. Good on the forecheck and a nose for the net. Loves to hit. He's good at his current hit. He will not be worth the next one somebody gives him.

Yeah, I commented on that article earlier. I think he’s a good fit, but not at the cost of Simon.

Whoever pays that next contract is in for a world of hurt.

But he's a good player, and has a rare skill set. Price will be really high.

I know you mentioned injury issues, but looking at his career he’s played over 70 games the last three years.

Yes, but several concussions. On the plus side he's cognizant of it and pulled himself from a game after he felt woozy despite not being involved in a serious collision or being obviously injured.
