Wow

What I'm getting at is that any moderately informed hockey fan can see why the Flyers aren't scoring on the PP. It's not that complicated. So if we want to dismiss the assistant in charge bases on results, fine. Can we really say it due to bad coaching? I know its taboo but how about someone make a play! I don't agree about Gostisbehere though. He's been terrible on the PP. Now that Hakstol is gone, that will all change I guess.

That’s kind of the vibe I got from watching. Maybe wishful thinking, but it’s exactly what these guys need.

If I’m coach Q, I’m really considering options before just deciding that I want the rest of the season off. In my opinion, if Quenneville has done his homework, this is a dream job. This is a job where he could put his stamp on his Legacy. Much like Babcock is trying to do.

There are building blocks everywhere. Patrick, Provorov, Konecny, Sanheim, Hart. Building blocks. Expiring contracts this summer. The Flyers have created a spot for the right guy to come in here and hand pick his players.

A guy like Joel Quenneville should listen to the Flyers Presentation. Do his homework. If it’s appealing to him. Accept job. Get acquainted with players. After the season ends, begin to build a team Fletcher and Quenneville can both be proud of. We can be proud of.

I do think this is an ideal situation for several reasons. He wants to be close to family in connecticut supposively. So check. Chicago has said they wont release him to a western conference team so they likely would allow him to come here. Check. Relationship with the gm who will allow him to have influence and a say that he didnt get with stan. Check. Pieces to actually be good in the near future and Money to potentially bring in some your guys in the off season like a panarin. Check.

However. Its the middle the season. Its hard to change systems mid year and it's even harder to assemble a functioning coaching staff since nobody will give their guys up. If I'm him I want an entire off season with my guys, to assemble my staff and to go after players I want. Many players will want to come play for him and we got money to spend. We instantly become a premier destination.

If I'm Q I have a handshake agreement with fletcher to come coach after the season and I enjoy time with my family. Fletcher let's Gordon ride out see what he can do and worst case scenario we get another lottery pick.

Many coaches have asked when the media is making those reports. Of course it normally ends as we saw. I think it's more of a fire me statement.
