Well, if Hakstol is still the coach when the puck drops on Tuesday, two points:
1. Nothing will be done until after the holidays to accommodate Quenneville.
2. Fletcher is being made to look incompetent by someone because of this leak.
Regardless, Dave Hakstol for better or worse is going to be gone. I hope Fletcher gets rid of the dead wood in the locker room and doesn’t let it linger around. But I am sure that somehow the defensively inept, unwilling to back check and or play a team game will emerge as the victims of Hakstol’s regime.

Thank you Ek. I needed that. Well it’s safe to say we all needed that. Again thanks |

A lot of sympathy for Ek here from me. I'm a journalist (and a hockey junkie). These kinds of situations are always fluid. And when you are trying to give your audience the snapshot of where that fluidity has come to rest at any given moment, you can risk looking a little foolish.
Ek's summary here is both plausible and likely, and if it turns out that Q doesn't go to Philly, it doesn't mean that he was wrong at this moment. |

I know right? It's only the craziest, most ridiculous hockey story since Ottawa's offseason mess. Why write about stuff like that given that you grew up a lifelong Flyers fan? Can't you write about the Ranger's OT loss last night instead? |

A goalie who makes countless 10-bell saves and keeps them in games they should be blown out in because the team D gives up 20 horrible scoring chances a game???
Yeah, we had one until he got hurt last game. |

4 years with Hextall and the organization was stable and future looked great, 3 weeks without him the Flyers look dysfunctional and they are embarrassing all over again. |

Two more points:
1. Ek reports the rumors that he hears. He will at times add his $.02 as to how much weight he gives them.
2. The amount of time that has been spent on Erik Karlsson, Nylander, the Oilers and how horrible an organization that is and the Kings fall from grace...complaining that recently in a spate of very high activity there have been a number of articles about the Flyers is simply foolish. |

Come back to earth dude! The flyers haven’t had a goalie that could lick Hanks shoes since Lindberg maybe! |

Well, because everyone wants to hear about what Nylander had for lunch today. Never has so much in such a short period of time been written and discussed about a slightly above average player. |
