The 1st period was pond hockey. I think there might have been 2 hits the entire 1st period. Thankfully the game got a little chippy and more physical, Raffl leading that charge. What an inspired performance. Flyers collectively looked to have pulled themselves out of their own 'slumps'. Still some head-scratcher plays coming from Provorov, Jake, Patrick, and Ghost and the infrequent PP remains anemic. Stolarz is starting to shape into NHL form.

I think the Flyers had a really, really good week. We beat Pitt one week ago. We went into a long layoff, just to take Columbus to OT. Today we beat a hot buffalo team. The difference between today’s game and the last two prior is, the entire line up chipped in. Flaws and all. It started from the net out. Our Captain took over, while playing in a spot he hasn’t played in over a year.

NAK is probably facing a suspension again in the AHL. He's got to clean the mental side of his game up.

If he's going to scrap lose the mitts. Otherwise don't scrap. If your hand is sore don't scrap.

That's the stuff that management will use to keep him in the AHL.

The majority of our bottom six are UFA’s this summer, which I believe to be the best thing for the Philadelphia Flyers! Along with our goaltenders.

Nope. Raffl is serviceable and won’t be a high cap hit. He does the little things that all solid well rounded teams need on the bottom of the roster. Everyone else can go, but unless you can tell me someone who’s better for equal or less money, I’d have to disagree.

It would be awesome to see Stolarz be a solid option for the Flyers going forward. Don’t see why he can’t be the guy to split time with Elliot this year.

4 points out of 3rd with a game in hand! Not saying it's going to be easy, a lot of teams grouped together but this season is far from over.

Agree with your assessment about Raffl but still think that it is highly likely that he will be traded.Trade deadline just 36 games away.

I think we have to plan for life without Simmonds as well. Not sure whether they trade him by the deadline but they cant give him long term. He deserves the best deal he can get, just dont think it makes sense here.

The only hope is that the market isnt as kind to him that we all fear and he circles back with the Flyers.

Well, Raffl is a UFA and rarely ever sees a full season. Reason enough for me.

I would agree Raffl probably has the most value for the team to keep. Extremely versatile, hard working and can be used any where. He would be a great value signing for under 3M per.
