The good news is the 2nd line is going to be fire tonight or like previous nights irrelevant.

The 3rd line will be fun to watch...just curious if Voracek will notice Laughton and Raffl playing defense. "Oh is that what I am suppose to do?"

- Glak18

In theory I guess he can provide the puck lugging, playmaking aspect to that line and in turn they’ll pick up his defense?

I think jvr and Simmonds on the same line seems largely redundant and is going to put a lot of pressure on Patrick.

Teams I am ok with Hughes getting drafted by:

1) Philly
2) Arizona (I just feel so bad for them, but then I would feel bad for Hughes)
3) LA (Hollywood could use a new Jack)
4) Detroit
5) Vancouver (It would be cool to see, but I would hate it since they have hit others)

You could state a different opinion, but his opinion, will still be his opinion. Perhaps he’s from Edmonton and is old enough to remember Gretzky in his prime. If he’s basing his ratings of players compared to Gretzky in his prime, than yeah, Giroux is not a good hockey player. Or maybe, in his way of looking at things, you can’t really be a good player unless you win a Stanley Cup. Since Giroux has not, well, you see where I’m going with this

They are odd opinions, but, in his narrow way of looking at things, they’re valid. Now if he said, Claude Giroux has never scored 100 points in an NHL season, that you could refute as it is factually incorrect.

You can counter or challenge an opinion, but unless it is something that can be proven as untrue, you cannot refute it.

Logic 101

This is a desperate reach. As if Wayne Gretzky is the only good hockey player and anyone below him is not a good player. You can absolutely refute an opinion using logic and fact.

JvR and Simmonds play different styles, but if you are referring to net presence then you have to add Patrick to that. All 3 mostly play around the net. It could work, maybe someone will finally grab a rebound.

Either way I hope Malkin is actually engaged. It hasn’t been a great stretch for him lately. I don’t know if brassard and kessel will work as a line or not. I think overall this is going to be a fairly high scoring game. Setting the over under at 7.5, where would you go

Is the 7.5 just for penguins goals?

According to the rumors, Couturier never went down on one knee to ask...still anyone's guess.

That assumes the defense doesn't shoot directly into the shinpads of the opposing team.

5 minutes to go...he has to sign it, have it scanned to the league office, and have it approved...we haven't heard that he's even signed it, no way they get that all done in less than 10.

Edit: 4 to go.

Wasn't directing that at you. Your comment was the most recent when I posted, lol. I figured it was over too.
