Here is the thing. Those players are still in the same role. Obviously Weise has played much better this year than he has previously. As Bill pointed out though, you still had a 3rd line winger with one goal on the year. Some of those spots still have to be improved. It's just been overshadowed this year by many other issues with the team.

1) Schneider hasn't played any good hockey in 3 years and that changes coming to the Flyers? That doesn't even touch on his injury issues that have been worse than Elliott.

2) Why would St. Louis trade Tarasenko for Voracek?

3) That's super value for Ottawa for a player they may not be able to sign, I won't even talk about why the Flyers wouldn't just sign him in the offseason then.

4) If Homer is going to go all out why would he all of sudden trade Simmonds for future assets? Did he wake up and decide to do the complete opposite the next day?

Might as well add Giroux and a 5th for McDavid too.

Regarding Schneider that is true but how many years did Mason play bad hockey in CBJ before being dealt here? The answer is 4 years. That worked out for us until Mason's ego ended his career.

They have been one of few consistent pieces for the Flyers. Weal is a big downgrade from Fillpula. We expected Patrick to be ready but he isnt.

We also expected Provy and Ghost to be better. If these three players get hot. We will win games again. Especially since Elliot should be back soon. The Flyers have to improve their possession game. Leafs right now compensate for their lack of D by just hogging possession.

What we do is turn the puck over and give the other team possession so they can try and score.

Actually yes Mason did. Schneiders injuries are blown out of proportion. Mason spent just as much time hurt as Schneider. Before last season Schneider played 60 games, year before that 58, year before that 69.

I will also point out Giroux had injury issues with the hip as well. It took a few years to bounce back but he has been playing the best hockey of his career.
