If I make a petition to ban mjl from posting in bills threads would you guys sign it? - Richieattack18
Nah, he makes this place interesting. I love how people attack him day after day because he disagrees. Constantly insulting him, calling him names, trolling him for something he said days, weeks, or even years ago. He lives in all your heads rent free and its hilarious.

I guess I just trust people who are around the team more than random people on a message board. I also don't put a lot of stock into the press conferences, as those are more a formality, and each have to word their answers carefully due to a lot of reasons.
Regarding stuff not coming out earlier, it's well known that Hextall stamped out any leaks from the team, including trade rumors and anything else. Any time that iron curtain is lifted due to strange circumstances, it's natural for people to want to put a little something out there.
Also, I don't get why reporters have to be used as sources to tell us anything. Some of them are around the team a ton and I'm sure are confided in off the record all the time.
I think everyone should be careful about brushing information aside that doesn't fit their agenda. These aren't random people coming out and saying poop, it's respected journalists and a former coach/player who probably talks to people in the org frequently.
I'll just say this...those people know a lot more about the team than any of us. - feelingkettle
People should also be careful about accepting the media’s narrative. Riley Cote is an ex employee and ex player. He didn’t add any light to the situation, but agreed with ant’s article. Does that lead credence to the article or is it sour grapes?
If hextall was sooo micromanaging something would of came out. I don’t care how tight he thought the ship to be, something would of came out.
How did Murphy spy on the team for Ron for 4 years and it comes out a few days after he’s fired? That sounds suspicious to me

Always is.
I don't know if Anthony's article is 100% true or 100% false. The only thing the article shows me is someone has an axe to grind with Hextall. Hextall was already fired, why leak additional information to the media. Let it die and move on. Seems like the intent is to further damage his reputation. The Flyers need to move on from this and move forward.

Sure he couldve taken a stride but he never would've gotten the puck. He reached to try and poke the puck away from the defender. That's how I saw it. - MJL
How in the (frank) do you know that? Because in my mind if he (frank)ing tried he coulda done "something" more then nothing.
Additionally, I saw a guy give up and give two sh!!!ts of effort to try to regain the puck.
I reiterate my initial statement, he showed his mucus and testicles!

I don't mind MJL one bit, don't take things personal and debates are fun

From Jay Greenberg's blog:
Loyal soldiers have lost their jobs or been forced to take pay cuts. Access to the GM- and by alums to the current players within long-established parameters – was limited and so was input from an inner Hextall circle that got smaller as these four-plus years have gone by. The Flyers, long known as one of the best places in the league to work, had become one of the worst.
Wouldn't you want to know if this poop was going down? Working for a terrible boss can ruin the whole thing. I don't know why people are assuming this is to tear Hextall down. I would hope if this stuff is true, Hextall learns from it and improves.
Also don't get calling Bill, Jay, or Ant San "the media."
It's almost as if some people are unwilling to accept the possibility that Hextall was a good GM but ran things in a terrible way.

What does that even mean? The coach spied on the team? So, he watched the players and then discussed what he saw with the GM? Wasn’t that his job?
Also...as an ex-player and coach Cote should just shut up. No class.

He spied on guys that partied too hard or ate like poop? That’s the only thing I could see.
I don’t think Murphy was going around sneaking into the bathrooms and telling Hextall that Voracek wasn’t having formed stools or Ghost laughed about the PK being poor at the urinal.
