I like Patrick and Lindblom together. Also like giving Laughton more ice time at even strength.

It’s not perfect but about the best you can do with G at LW. JvR and Simmonds should be split up I think.

Winning cures most things. Would love to hear from Hakstol about it someday. Hextall got criticized for being to loyal to Hakstol and not firing Hakstol. Now some say Hakstol wasn't part of his inner circle.

Very interesting, but I am so ready to move on and see what the next GM does. I do hope Hextall gets another shot somewhere and he may be better off in a place that doesn't have the Flyers history.

That being said it seems that the micro managing is a narrative that the Flyers want pushed out. There is truth on both sides in my eyes, but we will never really know the whole truth

For all of the talk about reuniting Ghost-Provy, Provy spent almost 1/2 of his 5v5 time with Gudas and Hagg, and he seemed a lot more sure of himself playing with those partners. Not a shock.

Hopefully Hak noticed how much better he played.

Not surprising that a reporter who was used to having wide access to the team and facilities under former management felt the need to write an "expose" and found a bunch of butt hurt people in the organization whose advice was not being followed (because it was bad advice). There are a lot of people in the building who want to do things like there was no cap, no sports medicine or nutrition, advanced stats analytics, and as if physical play could dominate speed. When you fire the exterminator, they all come scurrying out of their cracks, but it doesn't mean they are right. It just means they have the ear of "good old days" writers, so they get the last word.

Say what you want, but Bill, Jay, Ant San, and now a former player/coach are kinda all saying the same thing.

I don't think this situation is as black and white as some people, including you, make out. Homer hired Hextall, knowing his plan, and gave it 5 years. This really isn't old guard vs. new guard. That's too simple. I don't think Hextall's plan of managing the cap, or being patient, or some other hockey related stuff was really the issue.

Did Hexy have anything to do with Cote being dismissed as a coach of the phantoms? I know he feels he was let go because of his advocacy of pot as pain treatment. Not sure if he was let go before or after Hexy came to the Flyers

Also for whatever it’s worth, the guy that wrote the slander piece against Hextall - was actually pushed out of covering the Flyers because he released the draft board for all to see.
