I doubt he gives two fcks about the Canucks, but he’s smart enough to know that if he plays well he might get a shot elsewhere. Conversely, I doubt the Canucks give two fcks about him, otherwise he wouldn’t have been buried in the AHL so long, but hopefully they are smart enough to know that if he’s put in a position to succeed, there might be a late pick in it for them.

I think strome and perlini are just behind schmaltz in development. Strome has history with debricant and i think perlini is a good player as well. Its just a matter how schmaltz being further along. I also think schmaltz was a beneficiary of playing with good players last year.
