I didn't mind Hextall but don't think he was great like Lefty does, I'd say he was pretty average. And like Benning he came into a team full of contracts that are difficult to move, but he did try to stock up draft picks and just waiting for some of the contracts to expire. People were frustrated because of the lack of elite young talent to get excited about + a mediocre NHL roster. They have/had a lot of decent prospects, but not ones like Boeser/EP outside of Provorov.

He's a patient/loyal guy and the guys above him in the organization are Bobby Clarke and Paul Holmgren, they don't exactly believe in a patient approach when the team is disappointing
