Hmmm.... players that are worth half their cap hit over the term of their contracts.

Gudbranson
Beagle
Rousell(I like but a bit overpaid four for years).
Gagner
Hutton
Nielson
.
.
.
That's only 6 players, just over 25 percent, you might be right.

MDZ?
Eriksson?
Schaller?

Goldobin/Boeser/Pettersson and Motte are arguably performing better than all of the players listed and they are on ELC's, Just my opinion I guess.

Benning will be fired after this season, that's my prediction/hope.

I've been predicting this would be his last season as GM since last year.

The cards are sure on the table for that. Would need some gypsy magic to change that.

I think after the draft they'll transition him to President, and bring in a new GM.

That has some logic to it, sadly enough.

Depends on the crowd. Team pom-pom will call it a promotion.

Yes, yes... yes.
(frank), that's 9 players.... 40 percent of the roster is overpaid by an average of 50 percent..... that damn Gilles!

If Aqua is as controlling/"cheap" as is rumored, JB goes to president, they either bring in a stop-gap GM or promote RJ from Utica so there's less a shakeup.. more people keep their jobs and the direction doesn't change that much.

Just a thought, definitely not a wish!

He might be controlling but I don’t think Aquilini is cheap. He’s had no problem burying guys in the minors or paying coaches to stay at home. Linden might still be collecting a check as well, although I’m not sure.

I don't think he goes anywhere. He hasn't been that atrocious. He has had some bad moves but all GM's have.

I know it must of been uncomfortable sharing that thought.

Much of it hinges on where the Nucks finish this year. If they improve 4-5 spots he'll probably be ok and ownership needs to get a look at Hughes and OJ next season.

Kind of like being cool with gagner being "not bad" after being waived, unclaimed, and spending the majority of his season in the AHL while making 3 mill a year?

Gagner isn't the captain of the ship.

He's just shown that he's better at rowing the boat than others.

Nothing says you are a good rower like wracking up points in the AHL

I never thought I’d see a Gagner defender. This is fun
