Teams with a younger roster are starting to lean towards hiring successful junior coaches because they understand today’s game and where is going and more important they understand the younger players of today and are better suited to coach them....last I checked this is a younger team....that is where we should be going |

I would have to assume Chia approached Q about coaching the Oilers but he looked at the lineup and said “I’m an NHL coach, not a magician”..
Give him 8 mil a year tho and he might consider it at least.. |

It SHOULD be an even younger team, really. Give the job to Viveiros, trade Yamamoto and a pick for a top-6 guy (Toffoli), call-up Benson and Puljujarvi in mid-to-late December and run the lines as follows:
Nuge- McDavid- Puljujarvi
Benson- Draisaitl- Top 6
Rieder- Spooner- Chiasson
Caggiula- Khaira- Kassian
Lucic, Brodziak
Top 6- Draisaitl- McDavid
