nope.....before getting called up he had 10 points in 7 games playing center for the Condors....I can only assume that he is replacing Strome as our 3rd C but you wouldn’t notice by his 3 minutes of ice time last night

This team makes the Sens, Wings, and Habs look legit.

It's obviously just one game, but that game informs us as to what we lost in the Strome trade: the low-event, pull even guy. Spooner was victimized on the 2 EV goals and didn't do much else. I still remain pretty neutral on the trade, but I get the feeling that management doesn't have any idea of what they gave up as their evaluation model seems pretty one-dimensional.

Gonna hope and pray The Retard is gone sooner than later so Marody has a chance to play.

Meanwhile, the three of Benson, Puljujarvi and Yamamoto could be half of our top-6 by later this season season Young players but good ones with some skill and creativity that needs nurturing (read: a new coach).

That top 9 would be interesting to see, especially under a capable coach.

But honestly, glad to see those 3 see success in the AHL. They're getting big minutes and succeeding. Then we also have Cooper Marody who could turn out into a fine middle 6 forward as well.

Glad to see that we have some depth when it comes to our prospect pipeline. For our sake, I hope they turn out to be more than just prospects.

I didn’t realize that Spooner played on a line with Lucic in Boston till way after the fact....so I guess the plan might be to use him to get Lucic going? .....I’ll wait for a few games to see how he does tho....I don’t want to see any more call ups till there is a coaching change....more then happy to have those 3 guys find success with the Condors in the meantime

Yeah, he is. The roster is also rather bad, but fault for this team's flaws are equal parts on Todd and Peter. This is a multi-dimensional problem for a team that only thinks in one dimension.

Went back and checked on it, that PP goal should've been at 4-on-4 according to the game clock. The Backlund dbl minor was taken with 18:30 left in the 2nd leaving 2:20 of 4-on-4 time. The goal is officially listed as having been scored at 16:11- exactly 2:19 seconds into the 4-on-4 stretch. Refs/time-keepers (frank) up some of the simplest things.
