Yea, ok...they had a team huddle before the game and said let’s just put in enough to win and reign it in because it’s a long season! Just not a smart comment! If the Kings had a power play they win 3-2. Please!!

I simply gave an opinion, prefaced with "I think," that challenged your own. Acting "all knowing" is mocking my argument and me because you're that sure of yourself. If you guys need a villain, why not look to Stevens, Blake or any of a number of the players? They're the ones really offending you right now; agreed?

Mr Bird, I think mine was an opinion too! I blame it on the players not producing!

Been a while since I’ve been on here.
Anyway, now that we’ve played nearly an 1/8th of the season, it’s becoming a bit clearer who wants to be around.
Keepers:
Doughty
Kopi
Lewis
Quick
A-Mart
Forbort
Brown
Muzzin
All of the kids

The rest should be readily available. The jury is still out(at least from this fan) if the issue lies with the coaching staff. I don’t feel Stevens is failing, this is more of a interest/motivation issue. This team needs some serious culling.

Muzzin, Amart, Lewis and Forbert as keepers? All of them are a big part of the problem except maybe Lewis. He is what he is and that’s a bottom 6 player (who in my opinion has run his course with this team) that won’t produce but has some speed and is decent on the PK. But those 3 dmen are a couple years past when they should have been traded.

Stevens has got to go IMO.he was bad yrs ago when they replaced him with sutter and was never sought after by any other team to be a head coach in that time.I believe he lost the room yrs ago and still doesn't have it now.the boys didn't respect him then and they don't now.its hard to play hard for someone you don't respect, even if they are professionals and get paid millions

Huh? Steven's was an extremely sought after coach. That's why Lombardi did everything he could to keep him happy; such as making him an associate. Stevens came over with Terry Murray. Yeah, he's been around that long.

I know how long he's been around, but when u get replaced by a new comer then get brought back in to do the same job how much respect do you get from others???you obviously weren't the guy to get them to the cup and win it or they wouldn't have brought in Sutter and kept him so long, why would you think he is the guy to get them anywhere now???his coaching got him demoted and now it will get him fired by the same boss smh.I'm not a pro hockey player, but if I don't respect my boss I'm not gonna bust my ass for him.these guys didn't respond to his methods then, why would they now?????

Well...I don't know what Lombardi was thinking back in 2011 when he fired Murray. He might have wanted Sutter and believed that Sutter is the best man for the job considering their history in San Jose and Sutter's vast experience as an HC even once getting Calgary to the Finals. So, Lomabrdi might have just wanted a man whom he was more familiar with and a man with more HC experience than the two years of HC experience that Stevens had at that moment. That's what I'm guessing. I know that when Blake started searching for a new coach, a lot of the players wanted Steven's, so that is a major reason he got hired. Stevens is more the players coach where Murray and Sutter were more like disciplinary, so it figured that Stevens would do well with a team of veterans. I'm definitely not liking what I saw in many of the games that were being played. Kings are just playing a predictable style with hardly any fight and confidence. The coach may deserve some responsibility but not all. This team still has a boatload of Stanley Cup champions on the roster. They need to motivate each other but perhaps it is a chemistry thing as well.

I agree that the players definitely need to step up their game 100%!!
I understand stevens is a player friendly coach, but when u have a room full of guys that have achieved what that room has(numerous cup winners, and a couple gold medalists and world cups),a motivator is needed IMO.someone to kick them in the ass and light the fire under them so to speak.(as Sutter was)the hands off approach with a team of vets doesn't ever get the results a pro sports team needs.they need to be pushed to get back to that level,I'm not saying the kings are a stanley cup calibre team, but they are far from a basement dweller team!!they should be a playoff team and with an addition or 2 could be a cup contender IMO.

If hes a lengthy injury. I expect them to start trading for picks. Cant rely on Campbell or Budaj. Esp with the way the team is playing.

How in the hell can we do this #loseforhughes nonsense? Have you seen our roster? There are a bunch of allstars, award winners, and champions on it. Unless Blake pulls a series of blockbuster deals, there is no (frank)ing way in hell this team is going to purposely tank. Blake cannot get value atm so the poop is not going down. They need some adjustments in the player personnel and construct some form of identity of how the team should compete. That's my take. I don't see any of this bullpoop tanking business going on at all and it shouldn't.

I turned that off. Honestly don’t care if they come back, which I highly doubt they will. Seeing Kovalchuk on a line with Lewis is a complete joke. And how did after one season this team go from the best defensive team in the league to one of the worst? Was Folin that good? Gravel? What happened to this defense? I get it’s early, but even when Quick went down 2 years ago this defense wasn’t this bad. Something needs to change or #lose4hughes will actually be a possibility.
