Can anyone tell me the status on Vilardi and his current situation with his back problems. I really wanted the Wings to pick him in that draft, but they took Rasmussen instead. Curious as to what you guys think of Vilardi as a top prospect. |

Too Slow.
Too Old.
Not enough Blue Chip prospects in the system - jury will be out on Vilardi
Maybe Brown coming back can help Kopitar
Predicted Kovolchuk to be a bust and so far so good on that front.
Doughty seems to be enjoying the security of his deal - prime example so far of cashing in and checking out |

Man are they ever bad. I knew they wouldn't be anything special this year but they are much worse than I would've thought they would be.

Actually, Doughty has been really good. If not for him the Kings might be winless this season. |

Jeff Carter looks lost out there... At least there was some resemblance to a physical presence on the ice yesterday, slightly. What was that pass right to an open Wild in the slot? Kovi trying to singlehandedly #lose4hughes? Another unnecessary penalty by Kempe! His dad needs to reach out and smack some sense into him. And was it just my homer eyes or did Fehr look like he deliberately gave a nudge to the puck with his glove as he slid into the crease/post? anyway: |

The most disheartening thing is they outplayed the last few opponents and have nothing to show for it. When they were statistical juggernauts under Sutter, they still struggled to score and it's been their achilles heel for some time. It's interesting because when they were being outplayed the first few games they did fine by going 2-1-1 backstopped by great goaltending from Campbell. The hilarious thing is that the Ducks have fared way worse than the Kings in so many ways and only thanks to Gibson are they at .500. They generate the least amount of shots per game and give up the most shots per game. The last team to do that was the Capitals inaugural season where they went something like 8-67-7. They need something to break this slump because they're a better team than this |

I agree. He's extremely competitive and doesn't take shifts off but he can't do it all |

Bobby Kittleberger: LA Kings Drop Sixth Straight
The LA Kings lost their sixth straight contest in regulation to the Minnesota Wild. - BobbyKittleberger
Thought they were much better this game! They’re inability to finish isn’t new but is getting frustrating! The first Minnesota goal was unfortunate and one of the replays showed the wild player hitting the puck with his glove. Im optimistic that they’ve improved the last two games but they need to be better with the details. |

Kovalchuk seems to be the only player willing to skate the puck up and when he does everyone seems to just watch him. Can’t say he’s a bust considering the whole team looks like crap. And Doughty is pretty much in the same boat. |

Kovy is not a bust, he actually backs off other teams and tries hard to make a difference, unlike the rest of the vets.
Blake as GM is a bust on his loony assessment of the team over the summer, plus the vets who are on their permanent vacation not playing with heart anymore after securing millions of dollars from winning 2 cups. There is NO motivation.
The rookies have to unfortunately witness this mess game after game.

I think that the closer scores of the last two games weren't because they were better, but because the other teams (Dallas and Minnesota) weren't that good, either. Both teams got out to 2-0 leads and then never trailed in the games. LA didn't even really threaten to tie either game at any point. DAL and MIN, no doubt, could've played better, but they didn't have to. They expended only just enough energy to get the comfortable wins, which is probably the smart thing to do, since it's a long season. |

Yea, ok...they had a team huddle before the game and said let’s just put in enough to win and reign it in because it’s a long season! Just not a smart comment! If the Kings had a power play they win 3-2. Please!! |

It's human psychology to not over-exert oneself for no greater reward, and it's not necessarily done consciously, but subconsciously. Mocking me because you don't understand that wasn't smart, nor was suggesting that the Kings would've won if they had a powerplay. FYI, the Wild have only 3 powerplay goals, as well, so it could equally be said that they would've won 6-1 if they had a powerplay. |

Thanks for your opinion. It's always nice to hear from an idiot who doesn't follow the team nor watch the games. |

I simply gave an opinion, prefaced with "I think," that challenged your own. Acting "all knowing" is mocking my argument and me because you're that sure of yourself. If you guys need a villain, why not look to Stevens, Blake or any of a number of the players? They're the ones really offending you right now; agreed? |
