Marco Sturm also named assistant coach to deal with the forwards.
Up next, a trade hopefully. Get rid of contracts and get picks - KINGS67
I been saying that since the start of the season, its time for some moves, every team gets to this point after they win big or lose big when they should be winning |

As I said in an earlier post,he is only named interim coach so he needs to get results right away or will be replaced as quickly as he was given a chance.
on the other hand he could be a sign of what's to come for the kings,as in them trading away the core that won them cups and bringing in the farm and dropping to an even ice time distribution.ie all four lines rolling.
I've also posted that I for one am in favor of them making deals now for our aging talent(muzz, amart, carts, phaneuf, quick, pearson) for prospects and picks.unfortunately its a necessary evil in today's cap world.some cap space and a breath of fresh air and legs couldn't hurt i also believe it could be a smoother transition instead of a complete blowout and fire sales.
Some trades now and some time in the lottery end of the draft for a couple seasons can make a huge difference for the team.these kids now seem to able to reach blue chip status in almost the entire first rnds of recent drafts.unbelievable how much new talent is forcing out the old,and old now is 29-30 yrs old!!!
Sorry guys i got lingwinded there, but I'm passionate about the game and about my team |

Carter will definitely get the most. I think he goes at the draft. |

this was the popular meme back during his Canucks days. Mainly for 2 reasons:
1) He'd send out these lines in the same order no matter what, even in the damn playoffs, basically everyone got similar minutes at 5v5.
2) He had Horvat on the 4th line |

Some deals are coming for sure!!
And i agree carts will get the best return, but muzz and amart could net some very nice deals closer to the deadline veteran defense is always a commodity at the dealine.keep them here til then IMO.
I still believe they should anchor it all with doughty and Kopi and keep those guys for the duration.also kovis deal is nice.that trio can lead the next ones coming on how to be pros and play the game, even keep quick and bring in a more capable backup/prospect to limit quicks starts and injuries.preferably a prospect for obvious reasons. |

Fox Sports’ Jon Rosen writes that Desjardins had a tough assignment as head coach of the Vancouver Canucks which started in the 2014-15 season. The scribe writes that Vancouver didn’t have enough talent to be successful, but his coaching style at Medicine Hat in the WHL showed that he likes up-tempo teams that push play up the ice. |

yeah, he definitely likes an aggressive style. He wants his dman aggressively pinching down from the blueline, was a disaster with guys like Sbisa and Bieksa, but having Doughty and Muzzin should work much better.
Low IQ dmen get badly exposed in his system. |

Muzzin doesn't have high hockey IQ. He frequently pinches and goes for hits when he shouldn't and allows odd-man rushes against. Hopefully, though, he's traded soon so that we don't have to worry about seeing him much in Desjardins' system. |

I was more worried about Phaneuf.
Doughty should thrive offensively at least.
Also think Toffoli should really get going. |

What the (frank) ever. I'm not with this move. Now Blake brings in another regimental type screamer coach. We really don't need this poop. We don't need to fix ourselves to be like the rest of the NHL. We need to fix ourselves to out-think the rest of the NHL. The NHL became the way it is because of Lomabardi-Murray-Sutter hockey. Lombard especially revolutionized the NHL. If not for Dean, today's NHL would not be the same. I still hold Steven's as a guy who could out-think the rest but Blake only wants to conform. I feel that there are going to be dark days ahead. |

Maybe we should form a search party. He's been missing quite a while. |
