Anthony Travalgia: Time for Bruce Cassidy to deviate from his goalie plan With his shutout of the Flyers Thursday night, Jaroslav Halak continues to earn himself playing time.

I've been a big Halak fan, but I'd caution using starts against the Flyers to evaluate goalies

kinda makes up for them giving away Jones

Not giving up on Rask, but another option is nice

I thought he played very well. Kampfer had a solid game as well, so the pair together played better than expected. There was one play where Kampfer pinched and left Lauzon hanging alone on a two-on-one. Lauzon read the play perfectly, and broke the play up right before the Flyers could get the shot off. Thought that was impressive.

Nice start for the kid

Thanks! That's reassuring. The injury bug has a grudge apparently.

Even as a staunch Rask supporter for a long time, it's getting tough to back the dude up. It looks like its trending toward Halak stealing starts from Rask... which is the same thing that happened last year with Khubodin after Rask got off to a slow start, and it turned out to be the boot in the ass Rask needed. Hopefully he figures it out again this year.

Curious why Rask got the start tonight. He always craps his pants against the Habs and digs the teams huge hole early. Go figure Habs get an early goal all on Tukka. It’s hard to be a supporter anymore with him. He just can’t step up when it matters. But he’ll have a .985 save percentage against Detroit this year.

Exactly how I feel as well. I don’t like calling down professional athletes, but it’s disheartening watching Tukka falter in big games. Not that a Oct bruins/Habs game is huge but he never shows up for them.
