Sharks could feasibly do this without breaking their bank. |

Rumors indicate the deal with the sharks includes a conditional pick that stipulates he can't be flipped to Florida. |

Why would Ottawa be interested in making the Sharks better, after the ol' switcheroo screwing they received in the Hoffman flip? One would think Dorion should hold a grudge, no? |

The Sharks don't have their 1st round pick for 2019, they don't have a top D prospect, so it would be Meier, Merkley, a 2020 1st and...what?
Chmelevski? Melnyk has strong affiliations to Ukraine, and being a former Ottawa 67 ( Sens notoriously like 'local guys' ) |

I'm absolutely exhausted from all of this. My sympathies to Isles fans for dealing with the Tavares fiasco for so long. |

He and Burns on the blueline are a scary top pair of D men. Signed, Captain Obvious. |

I don't think Tampa lets anybody else do the deal. They have too many horses in reserve. More guys in their system then they have places to move them. |

Has SJ looked at their defense? No holes. They have a pretty stacked defense.
They need help at forward. |

If the Stars are still in, how about Karlsson for Seguin? ππππ€£πππ

They're going to pull a Chicago and put him at forward. |

Agreed - I don't think they have the horses to get this done.
Maybe Meier/another prospect/one of their second rd picks in 2019 and a conditional first in 2020 - pending a resign of EK but bet it will be lottery protected |

My thoughts exactly... I mean, any team should be after him, but they need to replace Thornton imo, not add another Brent Burns. |

Agreed - has to be Tampa - they have the prospects, roster players and picks. Plus EK will resign in a heartbeat. Might have to take a contract back to make it work (girardi?) expiring contract |

Although, they did try to land Tavares, so it's not for lack of effort. |

EK and Burns are basically half forwards the way they play and produce - cant pass that up if the chance is there. |

More or less Karlsson is both of that , just put Burns back on the wing.
Edit: @Revised12: same thought. |

Yes, you can. I don't care how good Karlsson and Burns are at scoring, they don't replace what you need in a quality center.
Loading up just because you can isn't a wise move and can easily blow up in a team's face. |

Clearly it is going to be a quick flip by the Sharks again like Hoffman. They'll quickly flip EK to MTL for the newly acquired Tatar. |
