Exactly why you need Beagle and Sutter and not Dowd and Gaunce

Dahlen pots the empty-netter with 1:24 left to play. 5-3.

So it looks like we'll come out of the weekend with three goals each for JD and EP. Lind settles for another assist.

And the Canucks let up.

With the goalie back out, the Jets score with 40 seconds to go to make it 5-4.

Gadjovich is the player I spot standing helplessly next to the net as the puck goes five-hole.

After Kulbakov stops Vesalainen on a one-timer, the Canucks get the puck back down the ice, and MacEwen adds a second empty-netter with 1.1 seconds to go.

Final score: Canucks 6 - Jets 4.

Dahlen's game reminds me a bit of watching Sebastian Aho from Carolina. Not the fastest player but can shoot and slick hands.

So...not quite as giddily exciting as Friday's game, but the top line continued to find ways to put up points, the team showed some toughness and Kulbakov looked pretty impressive while facing plenty of rubber. He could be a nice addition to the franchise's goaltending depth.

Now we've got nine long days before we see these guys in NHL preseason action; first game will be Tuesday Sept 18.

Palmu is a bulldog...plays hard and in the tough areas. Reminds me a little of Smyl, though maybe with better hands.

gonna be a nice civil war here between now and when the final cuts are made

both sides will try to convince the other that they're wrong, but instead both sides will double down on their views and push for their ideas even further.

If you haven’t been banned you aren’t a man. Precisely why Morrison1980 correctly identified Reuby as “not a man.”

Hey (frank) you, you POS, I had a self-imposed 15 day timeout, when I was attacking everyone's favourite poster F*ckU2.

All the prospects that most people had eyes on, i would say met or exceeded expectations. I thought the ones we pay most attention to, played fantastic.

I am not sure my expectations of Jagger Dirk came crashing to a halt this weekend but I am willing to now burn my Gardiner Utica jersey

I didnt know you were keeping an eye on jagger dirk going into this

I thought every single camp invite struggled. Mcmaster i thought was good, and gardiner played well enough.

Jets seemed more determined in this one but our skill around the net and good goaltending was the difference.

Lots of Canucks bloggers are saying he deserves an ahl contract. Good depth player to have. I thought palmu, dahlen, pettersson, and juolevi played really well. New ice for all of them and adjusted really well. Macewen and gaudette played how i thought they would.

Brisebois, lind, jasek, were a bit underwhelming imo
