Probably more likely Vecchione, Rubstov or Vorobyev if such a thing becomes necessary.

Frost is earmarked to return to junior and shouldn't even be invited to camp... for discussion haha.
Joking aside, cooter needs to get this sorted out even if he's out longer. |

I'm hoping for a speedy recovery. He's our top line center and an important part of our success.
BUT...
I know I am in the minority with this belief but Coots is not the ideal 1st line center (IMO). He flourished with G, Jake, and TK, but also seems to play very well when moved down the line-up. In the Game 6 loss, 4 of his 5 points were scored with Laughton and Simmer or Read. The last goal he was on the ice with G and Jake. If I remember correctly, due to his knee injury, Fip and G had to take his defensive responsibilities. At least 1 goal was a blown coverage by Fip. Demonstrates the importance of Coots' health.
I was in the camp of the Flyers going out and getting a solid #1 center but the cost was too high. Coots does fill that role well (Obviously after last year's performance). I just feel we would be a stronger team with him as 2C or 3C.
Just my two cents.

I agree. Frost will get a look but just too many players ahead of him with more pro experience. I don't believe the additional year in OHL will hurt young Morgan. |

Well f*ck me, that’s not good. Hope Cooter can rest and be ready for the beginning of the season.
On the 80’s note, damn I thought they were gonna win in 87, such a great team, miss those days. |

Another year down there will be good for him, no hurry. Unless he kills it at camp? |

Today this knee injury should snowball into a full knee replacement,
as well as trading him cause his value will never be higher or lower.
End of summer looms. |

Injuries happen. Also not worried about the timetable for return because the organization has a great track record with these things.
I have no doubt that he will return ahead of schedule. And with that, I will be supremely confident because the player knows his body best and will say on the record that everything is fine and he is good to go.
Also it’s good that team leaders like Simmonds and Provorov play injured. It instills a tough, gritty culture in the locker room. It’s a good precedent for the entire team. No girly men allowed.

So, you're saying Sean Couturier is actually in a coma and they haven't told us yet?
Because I would believe it. |

I strongly disagree. A big part of the reason why the Flyers top line, which had been seriously underwater at 5-on-5 the previous year, turned things around was due to Couturier's 200-foot game and freeing up Giroux to push things offensively. The way the two seamlessly switched off and read off each other, plus Couturier being good on strong-side draws and Giroux being utterly dominant on his strong side was also a factor in immediate puck possession.
