Hughes decision was the right one imo, as for linden, maybe he just needed to step down for personal reasons, he is a sensitive guy.

The decision seems good, and it sounds like it was based on the reasons stated by him. I don't sense any subterfuge or coded reasons. I can't imagine, especially how confident he is, that Hughes and his reps would have demanded a first team spot. The Canucks need to be a lottery team for at least one more year (for his brother) and if anything Hughes might have made us better.

All cool...

Wont have to. I have been following dobber prospects and ryan biech and they seem to think the top 10 players of the draft are almost all quality centermen. Hughes included.

Thanks Carol.

interesting comment on OJ. not sure if he is going to be 100%. lots of eyes are going to be on him.

I'd really like to see some kind of change on the blue line.

Vancouver draft year, perfect scenario all around.

One would think the balls bounce our way for a chance no?

Probably a good move Hughes to stay in college, he can mature both physically and mentally while becoming a better player at Michigan.

JB should try to acquire an unprotected first round pick, increase your odds.

Ok, so using your specific examples, I believe he has once again put the wrong people in the position to succeed. I don’t believe Sutter is capable of carrying an offensive (top 6) line, and now he has compounded the problem by bringing in Beagle (two very similar players). We weren’t winning with Dorset, why will we win with Rousel? The whole notion of remaining competitive is the problem with his plan. Dowd was a stop gap because of injuries, how many games did he play? Not enough to ever consider him a Canuck for histories sake

Who did you want to play at second line center? Sutter is the most qualified . Everyone knows he is a good third line center , so how do you fill the hole until Pettersson is ready?

You don't remember the uproar around the ROR trade rumor?

Most fans here expect Draisitl for cap space type of trades or else they hate it

I would roll the dice on Reinhart. We do know JB likes him.
